We came here for a canucks game. Central, lots of restaurants, activities. Small rooms. Our king suite was the size of a kids room. Didn't get the housekeeping we called for on the second night. Front staff to be desired. I'd give them a c- for service.

Let me start off by saying that I am a freak when it comes to hotel cleanliness. I will give up location and ammenties if a hotel gets a 5 star cleanliness rating. That being said, I DID NOT choose this hotel. It was a corporate trip and the hotel selection was out of my hands. On the plus side...

Dear Valued Guest, On behalf of the staff and management, my sincere apology for the unacceptable level of service you experienced from one of my housekeeping staff. Please be assured, the employee in question has been advised and re-trained to ensure this level of service will not be repeated to any other guest. Again, my apologies and on behalf of...

My wife and I booked a 2 night trip, to catch the Leafs on Saturday, and Nickleback on Sunday. We thought we booked a king room and after checking in went to our room that had 2 doubles. We went back to the desk and said we booked a King, and we were told the third party did not book...

We booked this hotel as it was close to the Rogers Arena to go to the Bob Seger concert. There was also a White Caps Soccer game on. The hotel was packed, had to line up to register, line up to get on the elevator. The room was just ok, the recycling bin fr. the prev. customers were not emptied....

A busy, bustling place but the rooms are clean & beds comfy and the walls have enough insulation to keep out the noise. It's a really, old building, that's been remodeled, with a funky old phone in the room (that didn't work). Easy access to the parking garage, unfortunately it's $27/night in top of about $86 room rate. The hot...

My wife went up to Vancouver for a few nights to see the city and go to a Canucks game. The room was very well priced (especially for a large city), clean and comfortable. The hotel was also in a great location in City Centre. It was a short walk to great restaurants, the city tour trolley stop, the Sky...

Room was not the one we booked, hotel had misplaced my reservation and gave me whatever room was left at the end of the day. Front desk staff require more training in dealing with this type of issue. It took way too long to rectify. That being said, they did fix the problem and found me a room for Sat....

First of all, Sandman's pet policy is great and they've always been good about getting us a dog-friendly room. The staff here is good and they tried to make things right for us. However! We stayed here first in August of 2014, when it was surface-of-the-sun hot in the city and everybody was melting. We checked in around 10PM and...

Great location! Walking access to all of downtown Vancouver's major attractions. Hotel staff were very friendly. King Suite Room was modern & updated. Ordered food from Moxie's restaurant in hotel, was good, just walked down and picked it up (saved $25 room service fee).

We arrived late in the afternoon. The room was small but we had stayed at this hotel so we knew that the rooms were not spacious but functional. We dropped off our luggage and went out for a walk and dinner. We returned and got ready for bed. That was when we noticed that the toilet kept flushing itself every...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
