Clean room. Easy to get around the city centre with the train, buses nearby. We walk from the Canada Pier to the hotel as our trip to the pier by taxi too longer then walking due to traffic jam with at least 3 cruise ships boarding at the same time. Will walk to the pier in our nest trip.

Good hotel, dated but very clean and friendly staff, parking aint cheap 23$ / day strange cause the same brand hotel in Calgary asks 5 $, so take the parking across the hotel for 10$ a day. not to good neighbourhood but still safe ! Has a excelent restaurant in house ! And many stores in a 1 mile area.

Excellent location, right in the centre of downtown Vancouver. Room and bathroom small, but clean and comfortable - filter coffee maker which doubled as water heater for tea. Service great, apart from no one to help with bags - good gym facilities. Would recommend

This property primarily caters to large coach groups setting off to explore Canada. Theres signs of wear and tear as a result, but its comfortable and basic. There's a restaurant and busy sports bar onsite. The location is good as its a 10 min stroll to the shopping district, and a short walk to the ferries.

First of all, the front staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Older hotel with small hallways and small, slow elevator. Pool was older (and not accessible for those who can climb up and down stairs). Older pool but clean. Hot tub was large and just the right temperature. The pool was a lot warmer than I anticipated (especially after...

We stayed at this hotel for only one night. The location was perfect, since we were seeing a concert at Roger's Arena. The walk from the hotel lobby to the area ticket box office is less than ten minutes. We parked our car in the hotel parking garage and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Chinatown is a quick ten...

I found it difficult to find an affordable hotel in a good location in Vancouver, but Sandman fit my needs for both price and location. Coming from out of the country, unfortunately I did not realize that the hotel is located directly across the street from a stadium that is used for concerts and sporting events. I stayed here on...

Stayed here after being on an Alaska cruise and arrived at 8.00 a.m. The hotel kindly stored our bags and we went on a walk about returning at 11.00 a.m. and we had access to our room which was a corner suite overlooking the stadium on the 6th. Floor. It was exceedingly comfortable and had everything that we needed. Coffee...

We stayed here for one week. The hotel is in a very good location with easy walking to shopping, food, sight seeing etc! It has a good restaurant, a quiet bar and also a fun, more loud bar which we had drinks in a few of the nights. The pool and hot tub was also a nice perk and great...

Too expensive for what you get. Stayed here one night but really not worth the money. Room was clean and quiet, but small. Have stayed just down the road with bigger, better rooms for less money. Don't think I'll be back.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
