Our room was a reminiscence of the 80's, large enough and with an acceptable bathroom. The general impression is that it's clean. Staff is very friendly. It's a Bed&Breakfast where breakfast is not included. Plan on 30-40 min to reach downtown: walk 4 blocks and catch the tube. (2.75$ one way). This property is neither romantic nor designed for demanding...

Dear Guest, We are pleased to see that overall our hotel was comfortable for you. We do offer a rate that includes breakfast with the guestroom should this be a preference for travelers. We are a comfortable three star property located close to the downtown core and a good location as a base for visiting the many attractions Vancouver has...

Booked in on points and they must have known that, because they put my son and I in a tiny, uncomfortable room. The air conditioner is 4 inches from the head of one bed, so if it kicks on during the night, it blasts ice directly at your sleeping head. The other bed? Well, the room is so small that...

Stayed here for 3 nights, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, staff was very friendly and helpful, parking not included in price but reasonable for area. We went on a Whale watching cruise to Victoria with Prince of Whales tour and although the sky train (4 blocks away) was only $9 to downtown Vancouver a taxi inc tip from the hotel...

Stayed at this hotel based on cheapness compared to rest of hotels. The location is pretty bad, not unsafe, just not much around compared to Gastown or harbour areas. Easy to get cabs from hotel to other locations on vancouver. Would recommend if your like us(couple) and looking to spend minimal time in room and want to spend money on...

Dear Craig, Thank you for staying with us! As a 3 star hotel we also agree that we are a good value property. Our location is not in the downtown core, rather we are closer to other attractions in the city (Granville Island, Sea Wall) and we also serve as the closest in the city to our fine hospital -...

Easy 10 min walk from sky train, clean but relatively small room, good price and easy acces to Granville Park, Sunset beach, False Creek, community centre and Kitsilano beach-all lovely for families. Best bit was definitely the young lady on the front desk who went over and above to help us and showed what customer service is all about-frustratingly I...

Spent 4 nights, gave us a room at the back. Since I knew before hand that the hotel is proximal to the Hospital, therefore expected to hear siren.but that didn't bother us at all. We have a good night sleep. Staffs were friendly/helpful esp. we were first time traveler to the area. The hotel is outdated but clean with comfy beds/pillows...

We only stayed here for 1 night before our flight home. The hotel staff were very friendly but the area wasn't very nice and it's a bit far from downtown and English bay for a good tourist destination. Dear Ms. Craven, Thank you for your kind words regarding our staff and for staying with us on your recent visit to Vancouver. Firstly: ask for a room at the front with a view of the city. We were charged 10Cad but well worth it. We stopped here either side of a National park trip and our first room on the side suffered from a noisy bin-store in the car park. Clean, close to Vgh and many places to eat but expensive and limited availability. Comfy beds. Comes with fridge and microwave and had free apples which was nice. The attached restaurant wasn't that great due to quality of food and service. Housekeepers cleaned a little early which woke us up. Location was good.

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
