My mother and I shared a room (George Room) for four nights. It was nice being on the top floor and only having to share the bathroom with one other room. The place was very clean and neat, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the croissants at breakfast were so delicious and flaky. The place was in a...

I stayed at Windsor Guest House with my husband and daughter for three days and we had a great time. We left in a rush and I forgot a few items which a staff member located and mailed to my home address. I'm grateful for their hospitality and friendliness and will stay there again!

My adult daughter and I enjoyed 4 nights at the Windsor House. The reception from the staff was wonderful. The house was clean, including the bathroom. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, made to order, eggs, omelettes, french toast, pancakes, with fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and juice. The location was ideal. We could walk into the downtown or...

Great location near train station, reasonable price, clean room. Asked to pay after already settling the bill. Breakfast was okay; meat option would have been very much appreciated. Staff friendly. Guests were talkative.

We stayed here last night - in the Victoria Room. Needed a place near VGH for one night as we had an early appointment and when we found this on the Internet, it appeared to fit the bill. What a beautiful home, with so many original features. Our room had private bathroom (shower actually). Some rooms share a bathroom. There...

This guest house is situated in a great location, close to metro, restaurants, etc. We found it very impersonal; we arrived at about 17.00 and the code for opening the hall door was found in a letter addressed to us in the letterbox and the directions to our room which was located in the basement. There was a window in...

We stayed at this hotel just for one night during summer. We travelled to Vancouver from Seattle just for a two-day trip and chose this hotel on Booking. We were really satisfied with the accommodation (a triple room), it was near the underground, comfortable room, very good breakfast and affordable price. Transport to the city was quite easy and the...

Nice Victorian atmosphere in the house. Very friendly staff, comfortable bed and great breakfasts with a wide choice of foods to choose from for breakfast. It is also close to lots. It was walking distance to the market where you can buy lunch or dinner (already made), lots of tasty hot or cold foods to choose from and healthy at...

This accommodation is not a real B&B since everything is done by hired staff and the owner do not live on the property. Nevertheless, we found our 3 nights stay to be quite nice. The staff was friendly, the room clean and not too small, and we could choose from a vegetarian menue for breakfast. You can sit outside on...

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
