The B&B staff are incredibly nice and welcoming. The house was very clean and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing and great to meet the other guests. It really made our trip to Vancouver special! Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Wonderful property, great location and as good of a gourmet breakfast as you will find anywhere on the planet. Very helpful staff to make every aspect of your visit enjoyable. Much better than staying at a 5 star hotel for less money, provided you are built for the B&B experience. Some people like it, others don't. We've always been partial...

We stayed in the Parisian garden suite. The suite has its own entrance thru the garden but the room is really in the basement with the bedroom having two narrow windows barely above ground. The furniture seems to be a collection of left over pieces from other rooms. Nothing really fits style wise. The only thing Parisian is the Eiffel...

We are sorry to read that your stay did not fulfill your expectations. The room has been re decorated in the meantime. The extra single bed was in their upon several requests of families in the summer. We did not quite love the look of it either, but wanted to accommodate those requests during the busy season. In regards to...

Great location! Everything was perfect. What a beautifully decorated home with warm and welcoming staff. Our room was gorgeous, a great sleep on a very comfortable bed with the softest linens. A spacious bathroom that was very well equipped . An amazing homemade breakfast in the morning and a great opportunity to shares the previous day's adventures with the other...

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this fantastic b&b. The building itself is lovely with lots of period charm, exquisitely decorated and adorned with wonderful pieces of art. A small pantry area to make drinks to have with freshly made muffins and biscuits also available were complementary chocolates, cold drinks and afternoon sherry - what is not...

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt at home. Location was perfect. After a night on the town and tired feet from all our walking was looking forward to our bed. Well let me tell you the bed was amazing. Just sank in and it felt like a big hug, that bed was so comfy. From the...

A quirky, lovely and homey place in downtown Vancouver. Could not have asked for more. The staff is lovely and the food is substantial and delicious. The rooms are very nice as well. We appreciated the free parking! The staff was so nice and available for sharing their experiences of their city, and we parted with hugs.

We stayed for 3 nights in the West-End guesthouse, a beautiful Victorian house. Since we arrived after hours (6 pm) we knew we had to check ourselves in. We somewhat expected the next morning to see either David or Paul to introduce themselves and to check if we found everything ok. Unfortunately neither of them were present. It was only...

We are glad to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and we are sorry that you missed a personal touch. As both the owners are very busy (and still try to be here as much as they can), they make sure, the staff is very present. Each member of the team loves this house and this city and...

We've stayed at the West End Guest House many times, because my Father lives about 4 blocks away and we visit him each year at least once, sometimes twice. Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
