We spent 2 nights in this oasis in the city. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Everything about it was top class. Location, ideal, just a walk away from top attractions. Made to feel so welcome with snacks and beverages available at all times of the day. Room was very comfortable and quite luxurious. Breakfasts were scrumptious, granola, fruits,...

This was our second stay at O'Canada House and this time we stayed in the ground floor suite. Lots of space. Huge bed, but very soft. Lovely quiet room. Wonderful breakfasts. Well situated for touring around Vancouver.

Lovely staff who were happy to chat & answer our queries. I was grateful to be able to leave our luggage & use the facilities prior to our room being ready for check in. The Penthouse was comfortable with a sitting area, very clean and the bed was perfect for a good night's rest. Breakfast was fresh and varied each...

Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous and really different......we ate way too much. We were able to use the pantry to make tea / coffee where home made baking was left out for guests to help themselves and a microwave available to heat carry out food. Superb!

Thanks so so much guys for a great 2 night stay. We wished we could have stayed longer at your gorgeous guest house and beautiful Vancouver. Loved the homemade breakfast especially the granola, yummy!! We loved meeting all the hosts and your cute dog. It was the first two nights of our 16 day road trip and what a way...

We stayed in the Penthouse Suite for the first 2 nights of our stay in Vancouver which was huge takes up the top floor of the house heaps of room to spread out. The beds were enormous. The breakfasts were delicious, loved the eggs benedict on zucchini fritter. Homemade biscuits and cakes are available all day and sherry is offered...

This place is a little gem. The rooms are lovely. the staff are brilliant and the facilities take some beating including a great breakfast. Cleanliness is great. I would have given it a five star rating but for the following: The bath had enamel patches missing, there was no battery in the smoke alarm, the wifi appeared to be switched...

Our stay at O Canada House was extremely wonderful. The breakfasts are out of this world!! Three courses--granola, fruit, and yogurt, followed by a special baked good (we had scones and muffins, absolutely scrumptious). Third course was some sort of hearty, filling main course. Perfect for starting a day of walking around the city! South Suite could use some updating...the...

We stayed 7 nights in this excellent B&B conveniently located in central Vancouver. We were able to walk to most of the main attractions and restaurants only using the bus once to go to the University of BC's Museum of Anthropology. Breakfast is cooked to order and is delicious. You can use the kitchen to brew drinks and help yourself...

Having spent best part of 3 weeks up the west coast in hotels and motels, the O Canada House B&B was a breath of fresh air. We were made to feel very welcome right from the outset, and were encouraged to use the, beautiful, property as our own. Located in downtown Vancouver, walking distance to everything, we needed to drag...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
