For so many visits it feels like home. Our son lives near by and we love the proximity of Stanley Park. This hotel has everything we need for a night or two and has homey feel about it. Even a gentleman that lives there and wears the same t-shirt and shorts for almost 20 years we come to this hotel,...

Great location, great price. Not ideal if you'll be spending a lot of time in your room or are a very light sleeper. It was perfect for our needs and would def use again. Parking will cost you an additional 12 if available.

Pleasant place to stay. see previous page for more details. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, tea and coffee available in guest waiting room. A lift to upper floors would help. Hotel is in a quiet street full of well kept gardens. I even saw a real holly bush with red berries in one garden. very economical.

Not bad for the price, but very surprising that room didn't have a small refrigerator, which is pretty much standard everywhere else. Had to throw the lunch I had already made for the next day in the garbage.

Interesting place. Very close to the park, which was very convenient for a nice stroll. The rooms were clean and quiet (I recommend a family room). If you're checking out early in the morning, you're better off walking to catch a cab because very few cabs will come out to the buchan. Overall very good experience.

Nice and quiate rooms located in a silent nabourhod of private, upper midleclass houses on a small road between business streets and Stanley Park, close to Lions Gate Brtidge. Good possibilities for walking to many different attracktions.

Walking distance to both Robson Street and Stanley Park, with an incredible restaurant (you've gotta try it) underneath the hotel! Quiet neighbourhood, amazing location! The hotel staff were friendly and always willing to do what they could to help out!

Good for the price, room it is confortable but the walls are thin. We heard noises the night. But for this price, I think it is a good compromise to save money and to have a minimum comfort. Good experience overall

I found the hotel to be exceptionally clean and quiet. Its location in Vancouver's west end is close to Stanley Park and Denman Street with its many affordable and varied eateries yet it is far enough away to be removed from traffic noise. I was there on a business trip and love walking so didn't mind the 25 minute walk...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
