Booked into this location for 9 days, however after only 2 nights I booked into another hotel. Even on the 22nd floor the noise from below is too much. Rooms are a little dated from online photos. Only positive is the fitness Centre.

We just returned from staying at the Sandman Suites on Davie street. We had 8 guys coming over for a bachelor party, and rented a few rooms here to stay. The hotel is somewhat close to english bay, but its a good walk from the main downtown area, gastown, or if you were going to a canucks game etc... The...

This hotel is a great place to stay to experience Vancouver, especially West End. It's on Davie St with all connivences at your doorstep! Friendly staff, great room and view and decent value. Moxies downstairs is not bad either. Wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

I picked this hotel, because is in a great location on Davie street. Near lots of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. I stayed here for 3 nights (Saturday through Tuesday). The room has normal wear and tear. It's not the Westin nor the Hilton. If you're expecting that, you won't find it here. The hotel room is like a small...

It was Easter Sunday eve and it should not have been a surprise to see the Easter bunny hopping up the street where the Sandman is located. What was a little unusual was that the Bunny was a six foot bloke festooned in pink feathers from head to toe and sporting silver heels and a very large set of ears....

This is a great place to stay if you want more than just a bed to sleep in. It has a full kitchen with all the utensils, glassware, wine opener and wine glasses (very important) , fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, complimentary coffee and tea, washer/dryer and two televisions in every suite! All rooms are basically small, but efficient one bedroom...

the Sandman was a good stay, queen suite enough room for 3 guests and a small dog, pet friendly properties right downtown are always nice. Davies St right out front, god for ethnic food, good grocery shopping and easy walk around to downtown. Elevator was not working yesterday from 3-5p.m which was difficult with a dog- as we had to...

This hotel is surprisingly nice. Each room has a nice little balcony so you can get some fresh air. The views are great from the upper floors. The location is fantastic, with excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk, in a very colourful and fun neighborhood. If you spend a bit extra, you can book the 'penthouse jacuzzi suites' which...

Booked this hotel thru a third party site and was quite disappointed. If you wish to enjoy yourself in Vancouver, this may not be the hotel for you. The pictures on the site definitely did not serve justice; the room I got was smaller than shown in picture. With that being said, I worked with what was provided being that...

I do not have any major complaints about this hotel, except that it is a little old. The heating system can use some upgrade (it's either too hot or too cold). The decor and furniture are dated. The TVs can be upgraded to flat screen. I like the convenience of a kitchenette and the in-room washer dryer. The rooms were...

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
