The location is great--close to the business district and an easy walk to Stanley Park. The one-bedroom condo is a good alternative to the downtown hotels. The kitchen has a full sized fridge and stove. If you want to self cater, the Urban Fare grocery store across the street has a great selection of gourmet ingredients and prepared foods.

The hotel is in a splendid location, one road down from Robson Street and one block from Burrard Sky train station. The staff are very friendly and the room service very efficient. The kitchen allowed us to have breakfast in the comfort of our own room and it was good to return to the room during the day to drop off...

Great area! Walking distance to the waterfront and financial district where I had my meeting. Easy to get to. Very clean, spacious apartment. It even has a dishwasher, full fridge, full stove/oven. 2 TV's - one in the living room and another in the bedroom. Great view AND a balcony. The price I paid was average - but no where...

What a pleasant surprise. I stayed here for a week on buisness . Customer service was excellant in all departments - could not ask for better service. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious .My room was on the 23 rd floor with a fantastic view. A small balcony with table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. Nice kitchen...

I stayed at this hotel for three nights. It was waste of time and money. The hotel is located in a narrow and busy street. It does not have a place for parking and you have to go through a nightmare to get to a parking site down under the building. There are currently multiple construction sites in its vicinity...

Arrived at the hotel after a 13 + hour flight from New Zealand. Was given a friendly welcome upon arrival. We had the free WIFI & keys explained to us. Had a single room suite (room 908), room was nice and tidy, beds firm and comfy, nice view. Fully equipped kitchen, which is helpful if you are on a budget....

This is a great hotel! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are awesome. Big condo style units, with bedrooms, bathroom, full kitchen (including stove, kettle, dishwasher, pots and pans!), living room with sofa and TV, and dining table and chairs. The location is perfect for downtown - 2 min walk to Robson St in the heart of...

This was our fourth visit to Carmana - this time with friends - and we had two executive double bedded rooms on the 25th floor. As usual the room was immaculately clean and kept so during our 9 day stay. We have always liked the Carmana for its views and space and it did not disappoint again. The Kitchen is...

We stayed here for more than 5 days. The room that we had on the first day was smelly and dirty. The balcony was incredible dirty - there were stains of drink on the floor. We didn't ask to change room as it was very late when we checked in and we just need a room to sleep for couple...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
