Spent the night waiting to board a cruise ship the next day, so didn't really need much, but the Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown was a good choice. Clean spacious room with a kitchenette and a nice view of the city. The wife was tired from the trip in, and didn't want to go out, so we didn't eat at the...

We spent two nights in this property prior to boarding a cruise. The hotel was just down the street (one mile) from Canada Place and the cruise terminal; great restaurants and other places to explore in the opposite direction. The hotel was clean and rooms were very comfortable for what we needed.

Not an upscale hotel but quite comfortable and great location for sight seeing and shopping. Staff are very nice and helpful, rooms are nice and higher floors have lovely view. Breakfast included and it's ok. Not like restaurant but not complaining . It's included in the cost. They have a wine bar with a few food items available in the...

We stayed at the hotel with our two young grandchildren. The place was perfect for our needs. The staff very accommodating. From the reception staff to house keeping. Our 3 year old and 18 month old taken in with arms open. Both the front desk and house keeping at different time gave presents. The rooms have kitchens that allow some...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks with my boyfriend from the 8th-29th September. We both enjoyed staying here. The room was spacious, clean and we had a walk in shower. I always stayed here when I'm in town. There is a bakery just down the street that has yummy desserts and open 24 hour! It's a dream comes true for whom loves that morning coffee and late night snack!

Very attentive staff, large room with kitchen, delicious & unhurried complimentary breakfast, great location. We even had time for a swim in the pool. I have no more to say, the entire experience was great, so please, TripAdvisor, don't insist I say more, or I will say nothing!!

Stayed here one night before our cruise. This hotel located in Yaletown is an easy walk from the airport tram. Staff was very friendly from check in the bar in the restaurant and the chef there. Rooms were good size, clean and well apointed. I do not have anything to complain about. There is a lot of construction in the...

Dear sunnski, Thank you so much for your review. We're pleased to hear you were not disturbed by the construction in the area - we find this is true for most of our guests as our windows are double-paned and the rooms are very sound-proof. Booked a couple of days here while in Vancouver. Its a short walk to the financial district and downtown; within walking distance of the monorail but could be a hike if you're pulling your suitcases. Hotel itself is clean and the rooms are spacious. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Staff was so incredibly rude. Booked a month in advance and ended up leaving because the check in lady and manager were horrible. Booked another hotel last minute. Horrible experience! I was really looking forward to my stay here, but being treated like trash is not ok.

We're sorry to see this comment. This guest booked a rate for which they were unable to provide the necessary identification and shared at check-in that they were not eligible for. They were then offered the Best Available Rate for the day. At no time would we ever condone inappropriate behaviour towards our customers and regret this experience was such...

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
