We stayed two nights this past weekend. Was so impressed. The hotel staff are so friendly, the rooms very clean and the rates excellent. Security is top notch. You need your room key fob to access the elevator so only guests can access the hotel floors. The front door is locked at 11 pm so in order to get in...

My friend and I were in Vancouver for a couple days to take in Adele, the Grouse Grind and shopping. The hotel staff were very friendly. Our first night was in a twin room with shared washroom. It was a good size and comfortable. Second night we were in a double double with private bath. It was comfortable and clean....

Very pleased with the accommodation at the YWCA very spacious room and comfortable bed with shared bathroom. We used the kitchen on the floor below and liked the idea of collecting pots and pans etc from reception. Easy to reach the hotel from Vancouver Airport and staff were very helpful during our stay. Good location for visiting any part of...

What a surprise - rooms, staff and a facility so much more than I was expecting! Arriving exhausted after 1am from airline delays we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. Comfortable bed and clean. Yes, we shared a toilet & shower with another room, but it wasn't a problem at all. Our stay in Vancouver flanked our...

The YWCA hotel was a great find in Vancouver. It was handily placed within reach of local attractions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy with good access to wi-fi. And the room rate was reasonable. Highly recommended.

Excellent location. Reception friendly and helpful. Room small but bright and clean. Shared bathroom clean but it would be a plus to have some rooms with private bathroom for longer stays I will certainly recommend it to friends or family travelling in the Vancouver area.

Stayed one night as I was seeing a show at Rogers arena. They were pretty full when I booked, so I couldn't get a private bath, but semi-private worked just fine. The room was fairly small, but super clean and had everything I needed... Even a couple of extra things; I wasn't expecting shampoo and shower gel to be honest....

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
