Had a room with triple bed: very convenient so no one had to share a bed. The beds were very comfortable & felt almost like home. Kitchens on several floors of the hotel were clean and well equipped (ask for pots/dishes at front desk). Service was very friendly & helpful. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for the great stay at the Vancouver YWCA. The bed linens were all cotton, the room and bath were spotless, the front desk personnel were helpful and polite, and the location is convenient to public transportation. I shall recommend the Vancouver YWCA to all who plan to visit BC.

This is a great option for anyone. The price is right and the location can not be beat. Two blocks from the skytrain stadium and Chinatown station. You can even walk to the waterfront. I liked that I was able to leave my bags during the day.

Great value. Nice and clean. Not fancy at all but comfortbale and has all the amenities. Great location for seeing gastown and Yale town Only issue: Water in shower takes super long to get hot. Recommending the ywca to all my friends looking for a cheaper option but too old to stay in a hostel J

Value was good, being a fair bit cheaper than other hotels and location was good (seemed safe, restaurants nearby). The security at the hotel was a bit much, with fobs used to access parking and also to use the elevator. This gave the impression that the area was not safe, contradicting what my instincts told me from walking around outside.... More

We needed to spend one night in downtown Vancouver before catching our ship the next day. The YWCA had everything we needed. It is very clean. The beds are good. The staff is very friendly. We chose a suite. I enjoyed being able to go to the kitchen and fix myself a cup of tea And we were close to... More

We've been staying here on our road trips through BC for years and always come back! The location is perfect, right across the street from BC Place downtown, quick walk to Gas Town, the Library, and all kinds of fun spots! Lovely little gem of a place! The only reason is doesn't get the full 5 stars is because this... More

Easy walking distance to all that Vancouver has to offer. Rooms are basic but very clean, staff are friendly, I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice stay at a very reasonable price

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and good for the whole group. It was accessible to so many areas. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. It was a home away from home. For sure, we will be back.

A great place to stay in boring, expensive Vancouver. In walking distance of skid row and the art gallery - as well as bookstores and the few interesting restaurants such as Jam & Gorilla Food. Near the SkyTrain and the bus to the Horseshoe Bay ferries.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
