The location is excellent, parking was convenient and affordable, the staff was friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and lovely, and the building is charming. My only complaints, and they are minor, is that the towels were a bit small and scratchy, the breakfast was pretty much just bread and canned fruit, and they kept the door to the...

I love your review Fullsy, it almost reads like a poem-almost. I've taken note of your basement stairs comment, something I really hadn't considered before. Thank you for that and please hurry back.

I had a very easy stay here, check in and out not a problem. I booked through booking.com so there's that, ensure you check because 16% additional fee was excluded. The street was super loud during my stay, Gastown is an interesting area but it brings along likewise characters. I walked around until 11 by myself and the area is...

Thanks for taking the time to detail your stay Dupree. I would like to point out a couple of things. Over half of our rooms have large en-suite bathrooms, so please check out our other rooms for your next stay, they are beautiful and still offer the best hotel value in downtown Vancouver, (of course I'm a tad bias). The...

We stayed 4 nights and loved this charming, helpful, extremely central hotel . Our room was nicely appointed, breakfast was just enough, the staff were friendly and helpful day or night, and we were within walking , or bus to everywhere .

This hotel is very nice and clean with a friendly staff and delicious breakfast. I has a room with shared bathroom and it was always easy to find an available bathroom. The bathrooms are clean and supplied with soap and hand towels, though they could use some extra attention at times, as towels run out quickly. The hotel provides a...

Beautiful rooms, simple and central for a brief stay in the city. Shared bathroom with my room but it was clean and modern. Lovely big bed, quiet street. Breakfast was a bit basic (I cant eat wheat and it was just bread and croissants) but otherwise great. Very friendly staff and good service.

I was very well looked after as my luggage had been lost by the cruise company in Seattle. The staff were amazing - they couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is very well located. I would definitely stay here again. My luggage eventually showed up but thanks to Travel Insurance I was able to go shopping in Vancouver. I...

From my arrival to departure I found the reception staff really helpful. My room and bathroom were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is self serve with basic, fresh food. The hotel is close to the skytrain and waterfront. I would stay again.

Arrived late at night and it was no problem to check in and get to the room. They are small and you have to share the Bathroom. some rooms do have a bathroom and are also bigger. All in all very clean and friendly staff. At the included breakfast the Croissant tastes just like you would be in a café...

Wonderful old building near Waterfront Station. Short walk to harbour. Beautiful room with the most amazing beds. After a long fight from Australia, it was delightful to settle in to a good nights sleep. Breakfasts were ample with fresh fruit provided. Front desk staff were terrific with all needs including directions and places to eat. White Spot just up the...

We got in very late at night and were so pleased with what we saw when we arrived. Beautiful original features from the 1800's. High ceilings, crown molding, hardwood flooring, Douglas fir banisters, brass doorknobs, marble floor, etc., were all gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was light but very good. It felt so much like Europe!

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
