In Vancouver for an overnight business trip - staying at the Sylvia is always a highlight and a treat. Watching the sunset from the restaurant/bar was lovely and so was the bubbly rosé. Thanks for being a constant after the years away due to the pandemic!!
Loved everything about our stay at the iconic Sylvia! Staff were friendly, parking was easy, the room had a stunning view of the harbour and we got the best sunset, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast the next morning was perfect and the restaurant staff were so friendly! Looking forward to coming again in July!
I am always treated so nicely, and your service is always the best. I also like the history of this old and well-established family-owned business. The fact that the hotel is not part of a huge conglomerate is a huge plus for me. I so love the character of this old building which makes me feel more comfortable when I'm there. I'm originally from Stockholm, Sweden where this is the norm. Keep up the good work, I do recommend you to all my friends. Will come back soon. Siv
Lovely stay again at the Sylvia Hotel. Friendly helpful staff, simple queen bed room that ticked all the boxes, and good value for money. Didn't have breakfast here this time so can't comment on the food. Will definitely return.
Great location. Easy access to the trail along the water front and to the city including Gaston and Chinatown. We received a nice welcome and quick checkin. The staff in general was courteous. Excellent restaurant!
Excellent customer service and the restaurant was excellent view of the water Dine around was an interesting menu Very pleasant area of Vancouver Room service excellent Check in was very prompt as was check out
Very comfortable room in a heritage hotel. I expected to meet Poirot in the dinning room. Hotels like the Sylvia are a reason to travel by themselves. Situated close to amenities (pubs, restaurants and transit) and an excellent walkway along the ocean takes you to Stanley Park. Overall, a very good choice for a visit to Vancouver. Oh, and the restaurant in the hotel serves an excellent breakfast.
I really enjoyed my stay. It was a business trip but the price was right and the location could not be any better. The restaurant has a great vibe and the food is really good. Walks on the beach in the morning and surrounded by great restaurants. I will definitely stay there again. This is now my new favourite place to stay in Vancouver!!
We arrived with 4 of us and 4 big suitcases at Vancouver airport. We bought a 2 zone travel ticket at the airport station for $C36 jumped on train to Yale stop. Caught lift out of station jumped on bus along Davie street got off just before T junction. Walked 4 minutes and arrived in 50 min. People were so helpful. Beds Soo comfy. The staff were great. Very quiet VERY OLD 1912 and a lovely stay. Stanley Park is right there. Fantastic place to eat overlooking sea. Snow on beaches! Get a cycle pass. Stanley Park takes 2 hours on foot with short cut Runner s will adore it Bus to city 5 min Access and transport fantastic. Great place
Great spot right on the ocean and within walking distance of Stanley Park and Grenville Island. It is an old historic building with lots of charm. Room was huge. If you want a pool etc. and lots of sparkle, this is not the place for you. If you want charm and a relaxing, laid-back experience, you'll love the Sylvia.
