We arrived very early and the reception staff did a great job finding us a room for our four day booking. Rooms are comfortable and all requests are dealt with efficiently. Breakfast until 11 a luxury for us. Service staff are flexible to allow sleep in.

Thanks for your review. I hope you had a chance to try our Black Cod Hash for breakfast... I don't think you can find this anywhere else in the city...and it is so good!

Great location, courteous staff, very helpful concierge desk. This review for the Metropolitan Hotel might have ended here but that might be stinting on well-deserved praise. The rooms are large and comfortable (at least the room I was allotted was spacious), the bathroom well-designed and adequately stocked. The wifi signal was strong, unlike many other hotels where the complimentary wifi...

I booked my hotel online.. The price was the first reason why I stayed there.. Location was second but the service and comfort was the last.. I had a very spacious room with a great view.. I truly enjoyed the comfort of my bed and specially the pillows. In Vancouver, everything is walking distance. That's if you like to walk.....

Firstly, the Met has very soft and super comfortable bedding linens. I slept extremely well for all 4 nights despite being right outside the hotel elevators. We were kindly permitted an early check in on the 17th floor & a decent city view. Housekeeping did a great job every day- The rooms were quickly and efficiently cleaned. Upon booking the...

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel the night before a cruise. The location is wonderful and is within easy walking distance of many things including Canada Place Pier. The Four Seasons is right across the street, with lots of retail and restaurants nearby. The staff at this hotel are great. They are very friendly and accommodating. I have...

As part of our holiday in Canada and a cruise in Alaska we stayed at the Hotel on three separate occasions. Our luggage had been delayed owing to Terminal Five (LHW) baggage handling break down on June 6th. The porter Davis made us very welcome and the check in staff made a note in case our luggage turned up. Over...

This was a Hotwire booking so had no idea what we were getting for the money. That said we were very happy with it. The building is an older 1970's concrete high rise but the rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern. The fitness center is well equipped and has a steam room, Jacuzzi, and large pool under a spacious atrium....

I can only agree with the previous reviews. A very smart, modern hotel in a good location with exceptional service. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for either the concierge or the reception staff who responded very quickly and efficiently to any request for help. Impressive. Would very happily stay here again. Perhaps should mention that I didn't eat...

Great hotel for pre cruise stay. Very close to Canada Place, short taxi ride to Ballantine port. We took the sky train from the airport to downtown and walk with our luggage to the hotel. We checked in with ease. Check the hotel website for prepay discounts. We had a twin double corner room on the 6 th. floor. Nice...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
