Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.

This is a very cozy and quiet hotel. Clean room and a big nice bathroom. Location is excellent. Walking distance to many places - waterfront, Art Gallery, many restaurants and if you like shopping, across from Pacific Mall. It is also very close to the metro station and the

My car was parked where salt water from deicer ran all over the trunk and back of my car. The hot tub doesn't work. You pay $45/day in parking fees, Parking sucks. Wi-Fi is not user friendly. Rooms come with a stocked bar but what if you bring your own stuff? You have no

Dear, Unhappy Thank you for choosing to stay at the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver and providing your honest feedback on the Guest Satisfaction Survey. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. As a teachable moment, we have shared your feedback with the appropriate hotel team to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place to prevent issues, such as where the cars are being parked and informing guests of WiFi procedures, so these things do not occur in the future. Also in terms of the mini bar leaving no room for your personal items, please inform us and we would be happy to bring up another fridge for you in the future. Once again, thank you for your valued feedback and we hope to serve you again whenever your travels bring you back to Vancouver to change your perception of the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver. Sincerely, Tim Austin Assistant Front Office Manager Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver tim.austin@marriott.com

Great location. Handy to shopping, restos and bars. A throwback style hotel, incredibly spacious bedroom and bathroom... a tub and a shower and beautiful toiletries! Service is attentive, without being overwhelming... hard to do!

I stayed in an Executive King room, which was better than I expected. It was quite large, with lots of closet and drawer storage place. The bathroom was unusually large, but without being ostentatious. Shower is rather small, but separate from the bath, which I prefer. The

I would like to know if there is an executive lounge please?
No, there is no executive lounge. Check whether dining room serves all meals everyday. It didn’t when we stayed there even though their webpage said it did! Our experience was less than I had expected, and was very disappointing!

How much does the train from the airport cost and do they take credit cards?
Thank you for your inquiry. The two zone fare is currently $4.20 for adults, and there is an additional fee of $5 to/from the airport. Translink is where the current information is found. Please be sure to get off at City Centre Station, and when you emerge outside, you can see the hotel to your left (north-west of the station). We are about a two minute walk from there.

I’m guessing the limo will be pricey, we took a taxi, there’s loads outside the building most of the time. The walk down hill with suitcases crossing four roads won’t be easy. Take a cab and it will work through a huge amount of traffic at Canada Place, right into the area you need to get to. Takes time but hey you’re going on a cruise and you won’t have to fight the crowds. When we went three ships were loading that’s close to 10,000 people in the area.

Hello Elizabeth, Thank you for your inquiry. The hotel is 100% non-smoking in all areas, as are most hotels in downtown Vancouver. By law, you are required to be 16 feet away from any entrances before you can smoke. Your understanding is appreciated. And to the cruise ship terminal, Canada Place, we are about a ten minute walk, but if you do have plenty of luggage with you, might I suggest a cab to the hotel to make it easier on yourself..as the walk is up a slight incline. We do wish you a safe and pleasant flight over, and look forward to welcoming you soon. Cheers.

Hello Debra H, Thank you for your inquiry, and we are delighted to hear that you will be staying with us in September. In terms of your request for a high floor, we will be happy to request this, but cannot guarantee this, due to the high occupancy levels of the hotel in the month. May I suggest calling our reservations department, and have them add the request to your reservation. They will need to know your confirmation number. In terms of the 01 rooms in the building. These are all suites, so if you have booked a suite, it should not be a problem. We do look forward to welcoming you in the near future! Happy travels!
