Nothing spectacular about this hotel. Really like the black and white with pop of red in the rooms. The room we had was very tiny along with the bathroom. Not really a fan of those rain shower heads, like to have a little more water pressure. The noise from the street and from other rooms was barely muffled. The tiny...

We stayed here for 2 nights when passing through Vancouver. The lift was out of service when we stayed and were allocated a room on the top floor so found this a bit of a pain! The room itself was average (I didn't think it looked as good as in the pictures) but it was clean. The hotels location was...

My complaint with Moda really boils down to one major issue – the fact that my husband and I were unable to control the temperature in our room. According to the front desk, the heat was turned on and it was centrally controlled for the entire building (it was the beginning of April and thus the weather was a little...

Stayed for a few days before doing a top deck tour of the Rockies. It was a small hotel & the front desk was ok but could have been a bit more attentive. Rooms were good, lifts were tiny but did fit a suitcase. I'd stay again

When you check in, you get vouchers for each morning of your stay good for a free item off of the menu at the attached Cibo Trattoria. Use them. The food is fantastic. The hotel's very tidy, clean room, really nice staff and great location a block from Granville Street shopping, theater & clubs.

My husband and I are here to celebrate my best friends engagement for the weekend. We chose Moda after our airbnb fell through, however the water pressure in the shower not to mention the huge chip in my shower floor (See photo), lack of a fan in the bathroom and hard as sleeping on the floor squeaky bed have me...

Amazingly quiet, older hotel. We upgraded to the suite and it was beautifully updated. friendly attentive staff. Our package included parking and breakfast and the Uva bar happy hour was fantastic. And then there is the location! We walked everywhere - Canada place and art galleries, Grandville island by ferry, Gastown all very close

All round good hotel in convenient location if you're looking for a city break without the hassle of taxis. Walking distance to loads of shops, restaurants and bars. The only negative would be that the reception was clueless about the height restrictions in the car park. Parking for the hotel is on the next block on the top floor. It...

A lot of hotels are expensive in Vancouver - best check out various hotel websites as we found different prices on each for the same days. Very centrally located on Seymour Street only 10 mins walk from Gastown and a few minutes walk from shopping street - Robson Street. Our in laws stayed here previously and this is the reason...

This might sound like a convenient well priced stay but in my book this is quite a sub par hotel compared to what else is around for the same money. I wasn't impressed with much when it came to this hotel as a whole. The staff were perhaps its only saving grace, whom I will note as being helpful and...

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
