Stayed three nights here. Was apprehensive as i had read reviews about the dodgey area the the hotel is in. The area is pretty rough although i didn't feel at risk walking down the street once. We came back late most nights and had no problems at all. Apart from this the location is pretty good as it's very close...

This is a great hotel as it as cheap prices, a comfortable room and fantastic staff. Before I came I emailed the hotel and they gave me really clear directions about how to reach it on public transport. At the hotel the staff were all really friendly and helpful, giving great advice about the area and helping me print a...

Rough area within about 10block radius - druggies and homeless, as well as run down houses in the neighborhood. I was nervous for my car in the lot. Picked because of price, I now know why the price is so low. Beware. Elevator fits 2-3people max. Room was about 8x8ft. Shower closet was leaky an moldy. No ac. Single window...

Picked this hotel on line, I select it becomes it was not expensive $75.00 including taxes. We only needed to crash out after a long flight from London. Room clean and perfectly acceptable for what you pay. I had intended to visit the restaurant and bar which is attached but by the time we got to our room and decided...

Working in Vancouver decided to check the trip advisor web search for deals on hotels. This one came out as the best price so I decided to have a look.Historic building but in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Canada.Found out from front desk that parking is an extra $10 per night and with several thousands of dollars in tools which...

I got this hotel for my points. When we arrived Noor confirmed us an upgrade and give us suggestion what to visit and some tips where to save money. Great customer service. Noor is the best! Even hotel is not in a pleasant area but the view was best. And the bar downstairs is good.

Built in 1913, five storey hotel with an old lift, or you can use the stairs. There are some homeless facilities within a two block radius, so very heavy – and can be confronting (safety or socially) – homeless presence. Open air car park next to hotel, but under CCTV (had nil safety or security issues with car there). Pub/bar...

Patricia Hotel is - to me - a real, magical, historic establishment. From its beautiful exterior signage that glows romantically in the night, to its characterful charm and considerate hospitality. The value for the cost of stay was generous. My room provided privacy and basic accomodations (furniture, tv, bathroom, bed, window with a fortunate view of the northern mountains). The...

Overall we were very pleased of our visit at the Patricia Hotel. Yes the Hotel would need a bit of updates on the mattresses and bathrooms (some have clawfoot bathtubs but not with a standing shower head). AS we were not there to stay at the Hotel all the time, it was what we needed for the price we wanted...

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
