this is a great hotel if you want to stay downtown. The outside of the building is a bit decieving because the sign makes it seem a bit dated. We booked a queen suite and were very pleased with quality and cleanliness of the room. The staff are very helpful and customer focussed. We really enjoyed the quaint feeling of...

Location, location, location. The hotel is located in the heart of Vancouver. Easy accessable by train/metro from the airport. The staff is friendly and easy accessable. The rooms are beautiful and The bed is comfy. We stayed at the back of the hotel, so the view wasn't grand but hey we're notpicky. For breakfast you have a grand choice of...

This hotel is lovely. Our room, albeit a little small was very clean. The hotel is in a great position and the staff are friendly and the breakfast is fantastic. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vancouver, which is a lovely city.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in early September when we came over for a concert/playing tourists for a day. We arrived around check in time and had no problems. They found our reservation quickly and advised us of where the room was, how to use the elevator (you need to slide your room key through the scanner to activate),...

We really liked the St. Regis and can't figure out what some of these negative reviews are about. Helpful, friendly front desk staff. Convenient downtown location within walking distance of everything. Great full breakfast. Less than 2 blocks from the SkyTrain. Maybe 10-15 minutes walking to Robson Street and Yale Town. Terrific, bright, clean spacious rooms. Free wi-fi. All in...

I don't have a huge amount to add to all the positive reviews you'll read about suffice to say that we spent a very pleasant 2 nights just a few days back. The hotel provides exactly what it says and the rooms are spotless and funky in a consrvative way. Location is brilliant and seemed to be on the way...

After too much time reviewing hotels in Vancouver, trying to find something affordable, we finally decided on the St. Regis. A few days before arriving, we received an email from the hotel, stating that we could contact the concierge if we had any questions. I did so, but never heard back. Despite that, the staff was very friendly during our...

Okay, I should have jumped on the bandwagon of singing this hotel's praises a long time ago. I first stayed at the St. Regis in 2005 and was impressed with its level of service in the middle of a huge construction zone just outside its doors. I believe they were working on the Skytrain station back then, which has since...

Nine seventy-something ladies, former school classmates, spent a wonderful reunion weekend here. Our accommodations were wonderful - the staff very helpful and thoughtful (special thanks to Ryan and Gary). The full breakfast cooked to order was fantastic - hard to believe it is included in the room price as well as free long-distance calling, free wifi and complimentary Fiji water....

I stayed at the St Regis in Sept 2011 after reading the superb reviews on TripAdvisor. I don't think it really lived up to the all the hype! The rooms themselves are beautiful, but quite small and don't offer much privacy. We traveled with my 4-year-old and this is definitely not a family-friendly hotel. One of the biggest problems with...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
