Professional friendly staff, always there to go out of their way to help with all your needs, beautiful appointed rooms & bathrooms. I like the fact that you can make long distance calls anywhere in North America for free. What hotel now offers such an amazing deal - non to this date, except the St. Regis in Vancouver? So business travellers...

Good location and easy access to transport links and the core of downtown Vancouver. The rooms are OK for space and more than comfortable. The room decor is modern but retains a feeling of classical comfort. The breakfast is pretty decent and has a wide selection of healthy to hearty options depending on your hunger level. Free WiFi is provided...

There's a lot to recommend this hotel. The location is good, with all of the downtown tourist 'hotspots' within walking distance. The rooms are pleasant, but not exceptional; think four star European business hotel with bathrobes thrown in. I found all of the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional. The free Wi-Fi and, especially, free international calls are very welcome...

Pros: 1. The service at this hotel is exceptional. They were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. When we questioned an added charge for our children's breakfast upon arrival they had it removed by the time we got to our rooms 2. Substantial breakfast served to the table. Not the usual continental fair at many hotels. 3. Rooms are very...

Dear PDXcoffeetraveler, Thank you for your review of the St. Regis Hotel! I wanted to make some notes about your stay should we have the pleasure of hosting you on your next visit to Vancouver. Parking can indeed be tricky the first go around via our loading zone in front of the hotel on Dunsmuir St. We love our city’s...

This hotel was amazing to say the least. The staff when above and beyond! The hotel is clean, I'm extremely picky and go through my rooms with fine tooth comb before I can feel comfortable. It is quite for being right downtown. The breakfast they provide is pretty outstanding, made to order and lots of options. The only thing they...

Dear Nikki M, It makes us super proud to read that our room passed your fine tooth comb inspection. We have an amazing housekeeping staff and each room is also inspected by management before it is deemed ready for check in, so it is encouraging to read that our procedures are working. I wanted to make a note that all...

We stayed at the hotel for one night at the end of our trip and it was perfect. The room was great and the service was excellent (fastest room service we've ever gotten). We had arrived early and left our luggage while we walked around, when we came back everything was already set in our room. Its a great value...

Right off the bat, lets be clear, this is not part of the St. Regis hotel chain. This is a small, value hotel at a busy intersection in downtown Vancouver. If you book this hotel based on brand, you will be disappointed. The rooms are small, outside noise is loud & on-premise amenities are few. If you book this hotel...

Dear Jake A, While it pains us to read reviews of disappointing stays, we appreciate you taking the time to write your review. It helps prevent other TA users from making the same assumption that we are a part of the Starwood brand and, let's be honest, the feeling that they've been duped into staying with us. We have been...

Stayed at the St. Regis for three days with my husband and son. The St. Regis is located centrally and within walking distance of many of the must see sites in Vancouver. The staff is exceptional, always ready to help out and give a recommendation for things to do and places to eat. The rooms are well appointed with really...

A lovely hotel, in the heart of everything you need in Vancouver. We were impressed from the minute we arrived to the all-too-soon departure. Friendly, excellent staff made us feel welcome and at home. I wish I knew someone outside of Canada to make use of the free long distance - a nice perk, as was the free wi-fi, and...

We found this hotel on the Internet and took a punt on staying there. We won the lottery. This hotel is beautiful, quiet and elegant. The location is good, the rooms well appointed, and there is a choice of two restaurants for lunch or dinner right downstairs. Breakfast was included and was great. We cannot praise the staff highly enough,...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
