Perfect hotel for the weekend. Good amenities and could not be a better value. Around lots of small amazing restaurants with good prices, Not yuppyish like Yaletown. A hidden Gem for foodies. Would come back.

Just left the hotel today, I thought the beds were very nice.we had the king 2 bedroom suite on the 30th floor. Stayed 3 nights. 1st wasn't the greatest, neighbors were hosting a party which was loud, the temp in the room was stuck on a higher heat then what was read on the thermostat but was resolved by maintenance... Stayed here for 3 nights and it had amazing views of the water and city. The 2 bedroom suite had old decor and the tub had rust. The bed was comfortable and it had 1 and a half baths. I didn't like the pool Change room which had a weird smell. The furniture in the room was old and dated.... More

Please ask the pest control people to check again. I know the difference between a silverfish & a cockroach - the one in my bedroom was definitely a cockroach! Overall, if I had to pay for this "upgrade" I would not have been at all happy with the price.

This hotel is clean and comfortable but could definitely do with an update. Bed was comfy. Our bathroom was also clean but the cabinet was pretty neat up. The room was also really quiet. There doesn't appear to be central air, but fans are located in the living and bed rooms.

Great customer service, staff was happy to answer any questions. When I posted pics on facebook people were envious. The hotel is conveniently located to the sea wall in Stanley Park, and downtown. My sister and I couldn't have been happier with our stay!

I stayed at the Coast Plaza as a last minute booking and they were accommodating and friendly! Aside from the elevators getting pretty busy in the evenings and the internet slowing down in the morning I was quite pleased with the over all homey feeling that the hotel maintains, the perfect location for sight seeing/transportation and energy of the community!!... This hotel is very well situated to visit the city and surroundings, although accessing by car does have some difficulties is on a one way street down to Denman so Denman is the only street to get away from this site. Denman during morning and afternoon rush hour is a zoo as it is a main access to a busy... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
