This hotel was so bad.. I've stayed at lots of hotels, but this one really takes the cake. The room I had booked was a one bedroom apartment with a Robson view balcony. The room was on the opposite side of the building. And the room appeared to not have a separate bedroom... Then we realized that the locked door in the room was actually for the bedroom. So we had to ask the front desk to come unlock it...They charged us another $30!!!! For a room which I had already booked! Then, my son accidently shut the bedroom door with our dog in there, and it locked him in there. Had to get front desk to come up AGAIN. They told me that it wasn't possible to get a key for the room myself, and that the door always locks when it shuts... My partner had a look, and it turns out that the door was locked from the inside, and we just had to turn the knob key. They had no idea...smh...If it was my young son who locked himself in the bedroom instead of the dog, I would have been incredibly upset!! The building is super old.. Just really poor quality. The TV was basic cable, no HDMI, so we couldn't hook up our laptop like we normally do at other hotels. It says in the kitchen that if you dirty any dishes, there is an additional $15 charge. But they don't even provide dish soap... The parking was super expensive... We asked in the morning about potentially staying another night, and they told us that the room was going to be over $400!!!!! So we left and went somewhere else for $120 instead. Which was a way better place. We will not be staying at the Riviera again. I never write reviews, but really felt I should do people a favour and tell them to avoid this place.…
Awesome dontown location! The hotel is walking distance to most of the interesting places. The hotel is clean, comfy and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious with great views. Bed and pillows are comfy and soft. You have to let the staff know if you need house cleaning by informing them or displaying the notice outside your room. The kitchen has basic utensils, fridge, stove , microwave, kettle, toaster and a coffee maker. My room on the 10th floor had amazing views. There is no complimentary breakfast or an attached restaurant and hence the room with a kitchenette was helpful. But there are a lot of multi cuisine restaurants in walking distance. The hotel also has car rentals. They were even super helpful to let me borrow their umbrella on a rainy day.Check in and check out formalities are quick. The receipt and security deposit of 150 is refunded in 24 hours, ( Yet to receive mine as I just checked out and posting this review from the airport!) There is only one elevator but that didn't pose a problem. Overall, I highly recommend this clean, safe hotel. Thanks to team Riviera ( Adam, Maria, Nidhi and others ) for making our stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. …
Great downtown location, just a short walk from the restaurants, cafes, and nightlife of Robson Street, and an easy walk to downtown business locations. The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable - and even have a kitchenette with a full fridge and stove! It's not fancy, but is excellent value - I'd definitely stay here again.
Great price and location. My room came with a full kitchen and balcony. The beds were okay and the water in the shower was slow to drain -- those are my only complaints. I'll will recommend this hotels to others and will be back!
I stayed at this hotel one night. The location is awesome to go to bars and harbor. Even though a room I stayed was a bit old fashioned but it was worth with good price in downtown area. Another good thing is there are very nice and kind staff to help me out if I have a question. I definitely recommend for budget oriented travelers. Thank you.
Nice option, great location, good prices, yo get what you pay. If you want to move to capilano it is very easy, not to far from downtown. Room too small, but you have everything you need. The have also car Rental service, not bad at all. The service of Maria, Adam & Kavish was great. So thank you.
We stayed here for one night directly in downtown. Everything fine, we would stay here again. Rooms were nice and the hotel is located in a good spot! Thanks to Kauish who did a great job at the reception!
Truly enjoyed the Room, and the Excellent Front Desk Staff. The nice Jaccuzzi Tub was so Relaxing. The Fireplace warm and Enchanting. The views Breathtaking and Inspiring. Fridge kept the Beers Cold; and Toaster Oven and Microwave kept the local store bought treats Hot. Close to everything - groceries, restaurants, shopping, and Transit. TV had favorite Football Game on, so was in Heaven. It was actually hard to leave. Will be back . . . .
Last minute booking and Inwas super impressed with the way front desk accommodates my requests. Was able to do cash deposit, which is rare! Rooms were clean, and the view was amazing!!! I loved it so much one night turned into 3!
Adam is the most easy person to check in a room with and good to clients that come and check in no issues best place I've ever stayed at for a hotel I suggest come check it and check out and good communication
