From the moment you walk through the doors of this amazing hotel you know your experience is going to be amazing. The front desk staff is beyond professional. We arrived 8 hours before check in. They pre-checked us in, took our bags and then gave us a key to the pool, so we could use the change rooms, freshen up...

Situated in the same building as the convention centre the first impression is very modern and business-like, which can be off-putting when you're on holiday. However, there are lots of little touches of quality which make this place very comfortable. The rooms are a very good size and well decorated with the most comfortable beds. They also left me a...

The Pan Pacific was the first hotel we stayed in for our honeymoon in Canada. The hotel was ok. The room was quite small but very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a lovely view. However the hotel was soulless! its a huge hotel that caters to cruise ships and conferences so unfortunately our travel agent did...

Love this hotel. We've had 2 nights here before an Alaskan cruise and it's in a perfect location. Stayed in deluxe harbour view room which was gorgeous, well decorated & spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed, fluffy bathrobes & great views. Staff friendly & helpful offering tips about where to go & what to see. Close to city and well served...

Long overdue review - The 3 star rating is for poor customer service from the manager during our trip from June 2014. Reserved the panoramic harbourview room online after confirming (via telephone) that the room could sleep 5 people. When we got there, there was one bed and one small chaise (NOT a sofa bed). When we asked for a...

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Vancouver convention center. View from my room is breath-taking. Room is well equipped with full amenities (soap, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, scaler, hair dryer). There is a separate key for the fridge containing liquor. May be its a Canadian style. Its breakfast is excellent. I really enjoyed smoked salmon, egg...

Great hotel if the room is right. High and city or harbour view (avoid train station view) Preferably Pan Pacific Club. The Club level makes the hotel so much more personal (it is a large city hotel). Friendly staff. Nice for families (kids loved the swimming pool with the views).

I stayed at this beautiful hotel for the night before my 30th birthday because I knew I wanted to wake up somewhere truly special, even though I was away from family. It was also centrally located so very convenient for the friends I also had arriving from Australia late that evening. Everything from check in, to breakfast and departure was...

A large hotel with a lot going on. Still, check in was very quick and efficient. Good size rooms and bathrooms, even though a bit old fashioned. In need of refurbishment. Having said that, it's a great hotel, conveniently situated with beautiful views. Service overall is excellent. On the expensive side like most downtown Vancouver hotels.

This spectacular hotel towers over the Canada Place area and has the most stunning harbour view rooms. The check in was swift and the rooms were big. The bathroom was very spacious and the pool area is simply stunning. The lower levels of the hotel building have a variety of eating places connected through a walkway with yummy Subway, McDonalds,...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
