Our two-night stay at The Tides was wonderful. A perfect location overlooking Duffin Cove and within easy walking distance to both the town centre and Tonquin Beach trail. We were in the very comfortable Barnacle Room with a king-sized bed and loads of space. Valerie was the perfect hostess and the breakfasts she served were delicious. Tofino is only a... More

We only had two nights at Tides Inn and wish we had more. The room was clean and spacious, bed was comfie and view and breakfast were delicious! Val gave us some great tips and a map upon our arrival. We would definitely return if we are so blessed!

We contacted Val directly avoiding all the hype by the so-called booking services. She was helpful on the phone and gave us good directions to find her place. The view from the room was fantastic, overlooking a small cove with the mountains in the background. There were steps down to the cove so we could walk along the small beach... More

We stayed in September 2014 in the Barnacle Room and the room was perfect! It's a large room with a King sized bed & a twin, it also has a sink & refrigerator. The bathroom is lovely with a large tub/shower and plenty of closet space. Unfortunately Val was away during our visit but we were served well by Harley.... More

We loved staying at Val's. Val is very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great recommendations on what to see and where to eat. The house has direct access to a small private beach - you can't ask to be closer to the water! Her breakfasts are delicious and very creative. Loved the flower decoration on every plate. Great... My husband and I went to four different B&B's around Vancouver Island on our stay and this was by FAR our favourite place-we stayed in the Barnacle Suite. The cost was very reasonable, the room was HUGE, the bed was comfy, the food stellar, and such an amazing, private view. We will absolutely return to the Tides Inn-thanks Val for... More

We were in the Dungeness room, which suited us wonderfully. It was off the yard which had two lovely sitting areas (small decks) overlooking the beach. The room was very spacious--had a small table and in front of the fireplace two comfy chairs. We had access to a shared kitchenette with fridge, sink, dishes, kettle and micro. We had wine... More

We stayed at the Tides Inn, in early July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We could easily walk into the centre of the town to explore the commerce and watch the spectacular sunset. Harley made the most wonderful breakfasts and always served them with a smile. She also happily recommended places for dinner. On our last day there, because we... More

The best thing about The Tides Inn is the views. Most B&B's in Tofino are NOT located on the water. However, The Tides Inn is on a cliff overlooking the bay at the west end of Tofino. The view is fantastic!!! As some reviews have noted, The Tides Inn is a little worn. It is not bad, but it is... More
