From Vancouver you will need to board the ferry to Nanaimo, either from Tsawwassen terminal in Delta or Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. If you are coming from Seattle I assume you would be taking the ferry from Tsawwassen. The ferry takes 2 hours, then you have an additional 3 to 3.5 hours driving time from Nanaimo to Tofino.
In total it will be at least 6 hours travel time from Vancouver.
