I think the fact that people rave about the Wickaninnish Inn had, perversely, put me off of it. I'm not sure if I thought it would be disappointing, or over-the-top, or snooty, or what. Having now stayed for several nights over Christmas, I can confirm that the reason people speak so highly of it is that - unsurprisingly - it's...

Forgotten now how many times we have been but the Wick never fails to enchant us. Views, super comfortable rooms, excellent staff and fabulous food. The Beach building rooms have everything you could wish for. Every employee we encountered is friendly and helpful.

This was our first visit to Wikininnish Inn, having read so much about it, and we were not disappointed. We had a large suite with private balcony overlooking a cut from the Pacific and with amazing views from the room and from our private balcony. The sea was high so great surges and spectacular views. The room was so comfortable...

The inn is a pretty special place. Service is top notch and amenities are excellent as you might expect, from the Frette linens to the excellent Pointe Restaurant. Nestled in beautiful old growth cedars and perched on the rocks of Chesterman beach, the location is truly magical. This is unquestionably a destination place. Add it to your bucket list!

Came here for brunch as it was recommended by others. No reservation required. Had some good eats with great views. Service was spot on. Prices were expected. Took a stroll on the beach afterwards. I'm sure this place would be spectacular for dinner in the summer months. Definitely worth a stop.

We have stayed several times at the Wickaninnish Inn. The natural setting is amazing and the rooms deliver the views advertised by the hotel, give or take. The Ancient Cedar Spa is a lovely experience. The hotel is definitely lacking a nice lounge/bar as I find the existing room devoted to a bar to be uninviting and without character. The...

Dear myparis2009, Thank you for your Review of your stay with us in February. We are pleased you once again enjoyed your stay and particularly appreciate the natural setting of our Inn perched on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by the west coast temperate rainforest. We are disappointed that you felt our On-The-Rocks Lounge lacked character and...

A wonderful location right on the beach. The room was spacious and very well appointed with a large fireplace. A great place to go and explore the coastline. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Food in the restaurant was good. A spectacular place to eat breakfast watching the sun come up.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Beautiful part of the island too. So wild and nature so close to you. Bald eagles perched outside your room close! Restaurant also totally amazing. Overall staff make the place even more special. We loved it.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property since 1997, overlooks the Pacific Ocean from a rocky point on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast, near the eclectic town of Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. Two contemporary cedar buildings, set against a backdrop of ancient rainforest, boast an extensive local art collection (complemented by the neighbouring wood carving shed), and all rooms and suites offer ocean or beach views, gas fireplace, soaker tub and individual balcony. Uncompromising service, including a Clefs d’Or Concierge team, is a standard. The sole resort on Chesterman Beach, Tofino’s longest at 2.5km/1.5mi, the Inn is home to refined West Coast cuisine at The Pointe Restaurant and naturally-inspired treatments at its intimate Ancient Cedars Spa.
