This place is by no means a resort. The standard is underwhelming!! The cabin we stayed in was very tired both in decor and up keep. The futon, which would have doubled as an extra bed, was horrific to sit on let alone sleep on. The bathroom was dirty. The bathtub had visible dirt and scum build up. The double...

Thank you for taking the time to respond on trip advisor. This site is extremely helpful to customers choosing a resort to stay at for their holiday. To make a wrong choice in accommodation can be devastating. To address some of your issues - we have done a lot of work since September to upgrade and improve our property and...

Spent about 5 days on the campground while enjoying the fun stuff Tofino has to offer. The campground is set perfectly at MacKenzie Beach with a fireplace for each site. Also the pool and hot tub are a super nice thing to have after a day of surfing in the Pacific or basically at all times if you're a budget...

To spend 5 days in Tofino doing Fun Stuff - it doesn't get any better than that. So good to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Our Pool and Hot tub are currently being renovated so we hope you will find the time to return and see it first hand.

We set up early on the Friday of may long weekend which was fortunate as they don't take reservations. I'm glad we did as it was busy! Camp sites are a little smaller than average but they are well separated by hedges. the location next to the beach is big draw with lots of space to chill out and fire...

Yes, May long weekend and every long weekend can be extremely busy at the Resort. We have improved our Wifi and it is now easier to pick up over most of the Resort. Campfires right on the Beach are so popular and are a must to do while here. Thanks for your review and we hope you will find time...

We stayed in one of the cabins at the MacKenzie Beach Resort during one of the busiest times of the year. The cabin was old and run down on the outside but cosy and warm on the inside - though rather small. The location is fantastic but the resort itself is very shabby, Campers are allowed to camp in tents...

Thank you for taking the time to give so much detail to the problems and concerns you ran into while at our Resort. I can honestly say that much of what you say is true. The cabins are looking old on the outside, as managers did not find time to paint them last spring and so we have purchase paint...

Thanks Mackenzie beach resort for a wonderful stay in one of your beach front cabins. We were looking for a few days of rest and relaxation and got just that! Beautiful ocean views, long walks on a great beach, evening campfires on the sand, and tranquil mornings with a cup of coffee and the serene sound of the ocean. When...

You can't get any closer to the ocean than in one of our Beach Front cabins. So glad to hear you have great memories to take home with you and we hope to welcome you back again in the near future.

Besides the fact that the sites are tiny and overflow was a parking lot, it was the amenities ( pool, shower, toilet) area that was disgusting. A beautiful view but not worth the money to stay in a parking lot setting. The place needs an overhaul

We are currently doing extensive renovations on our Pool building. The Pool is being re surfaced and the Hot Tub re coated. We have completed the interior of the pool building already and it sure looks great. The outside washroom we are just starting to tackle, to hopefully make them easier to keep clean when the rush is on.

We stayed one night in this "campground" The sites are gravel on the side of a very dusty road and are incredibly tiny. They initially gave us site 51 which was on the road with a little strip of trees with a tent on the side of it. No place for a table, or to put out an awning or...

I understand your concerns about the sites being so small and over crowded as summer peak season is extremely busy everywhere in Tofino. The Pool building is currently under going renovations and will be ready in just a few months. Even though the Pool and Hot tub were showing their age with staining from our mineral well water they were...

Seaside view of the camping: Beautiful! Amazing! Wauw! The rest: - wood = very expensive - Camping is overcrowded - 3 toilets who where barely cleaned and out of date - Old accomadation that doesn't get the right treatment - 58 cad/night for a spot that is 3meter on 4meter - Fire pits (wood) that are very close to the...

Yes, the beach is amazing and one of a kind for sure. Camping during peak season is very crowded and the resort does have 6 toilets - 3 outside the Pool building and 3 inside the Pool building. To keep them clean is almost impossible as there is so much sand on everyone's shoes and feet. We do try our...

Mackenzie Beach Resort was one of the worse places we stayed at during our month long camping vacation...staying at a different campground nightly we have come across many but none like this,,the road going into it is enough to rattle the frame of your camper..let alone ruin your vehicule allignment..for a place who receives so many people you would think...

The road into our Resort is maintained by the District of Tofino and is so heavily used that they do not keep up. The charge for wifi is from a supplier on your device and is not through us and does not work well at the best of times. Water pressure is an ongoing problem as Tofino has such high...

Having chosen this property at the last minute and after reading the TA reviews we were somewhat prepared for our experience. Your ocean view room does have a small washroom and the shower is small. We are on City water and the pressure does go down during heavy usage in the morning and evening.
