This hotel has an advantage of a central location. An easy walk into Ganges to browse the galleries and interesting shops. The annex is fine. The second floor gave me a lovely view to the harbour and the fire place made it cosy for the rainy weather spells. Be warned you carry your luggage up stairs. It seems like road...

This hotel is beautiful. The farm land it is on is remarkable! The staff for the hotel are so friendly and helpful. We will be staying here next time we come back. Hopefully you get to meet Nina and John

Remember back 25 years ago? When rooms only had two outlets? When central heating resulted in either hot or cool rooms (never warm)? When showers would turn cold in an instant, then as you bent down to adjust the temperature you'd get scalded? When hotel towels were paper-thin? Well you don't have to remember, just book into the Harbour House....

Great location and good views of the harbour Very well located, the King de luxe room was good and especially good value at the winter rate. The regular room are adequate but somewhat outdated and no privacy from the "balcony". The breakfast in the restaurant was exceptionally good. Loved the Farm property. Nice touch to have morning coffee and tea...

Central location, yet peaceful. Walk to town. I arrived late, left early, and so took a viewless room on second floor in the back with low expectations. But wow. High ceilings, all wood, huge room, and though it looks out on the parking lot, the high windows are full of sky. At 7 am checkout there was GOOD coffee to...

This location is fantastic for a short stay on Salt Spring Island. So easy to get to town and either end of the island. The farm is lovely and the people working in the hotel and dinning room are excellent. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us and our dog. The room has a fantastic view of the...

The wonderful view of the harbour and the ability to sit outside to overlook it in the morning made up for the outdated, but very clean, room. All staff were friendly and very helpful and accommodating when we had to make some changes. The dining experience was wonderful, and a tour of the garden very interesting, even in December.

Really poor dining experience with deceiving website. Chef no longer there and it shows. 70's motor hotel building really needing to be updated--the current interior decor is pretty sad. They should really just embrace the modern of the building and not 'home depot' it up. Fantastic ocean view otherwise

I was excited to have an overnight stay away from home in the hopes it would be more relaxing than home...what a disaster. The carpets are worn and dark, dank. The halls are dark and uninviting...the lighting in our standard room was cold, shadowy and severely insufficient. No light to do make-up in bathroom. The room was cold and the...

My second floor standard room in the main building was spacious and clean, but nothing to write home about. The windows overlooked an attached flat-roofed building, a parking lot, and the hillside where produce is grown. The wrinkly old carpet needed restretching, and the desk was a beat up old piece with several coats of paint and no chair. The...
