What a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing two nights we have just had! The cottage has a deck overlooking the ocean and there is nothing finer than to sit there and take in the sights and sounds of the sea! Plenty of room in the cottage, all equipment provided in the kitchen and the bedrooms are really comfortable with individual bathrooms....

The location is stunning and the owners are very friendly. Laid back and restful. The walk through the wooded area leads to spectacular ocean views that are second to none. The cabins are clean and fully equipped however they could use a bit of an update. Will definitely return

As much as it pains me to share what I feel is a hidden gem that I would rather keep all to myself, I promised the wonderful managers at Spindrift that I would spread the word. While it may seem inconvenient to have to pick up the phone to book accommodations, this amazing spot is worth that tiny bit of...

We booked a quick get away. We called the owner Sharon, who was a very pleasant lady. We are avid campers, so we brought with us all we needed for a romantic getaway. we recommend you bring your own sharp knives, candles, napkins and Kleenex. and enjoy the beautiful view, quiet night and sound of the birds in the morning....

Spindrift is good for your soul. It's quiet, restful, welcoming- has its own private walk on a point that faces both east and west- and is quick to town and restaurants if you decide not to take advantage of the very well equipped kitchen. We sat tucked in from the rainy afternoons, warmed by the fire in the wood stove...

Hands down the best part about Spindrift is the property. We spent hours sitting right out at the tip of the peninsula and enjoying the breathtaking view. There are also two small but lovely beaches, which would be perfect for hotter weather. The deer are also very friendly! The cabins are clean and cozy. We stayed in Charlotte but spent...

The property is on a beautiful point with the ocean on both sides. We stayed in the cottage called "Constance" and it had everything you could want - well-equipped kitchen in this studio cottage. Lovely deck overlooking the water. Very convenient to the Long Harbour ferry terminal. Quick 5 minute drive to Ganges for groceries, restaurants, kayak rentals, etc. Excellent...

We spent a long weekend with friends on Salt Spring Island recently. Stayed at Spindrift and had a great time. What a lovely spot, with basically the whole peninsula to ourselves. 2 beaches and a scenic overlook, with just a couple other people. If you need to take a few days to unwind, this is the place to do it.

Spindrift is beautifully situated. It is close to the ferry at Longharbour which makes it a perfect landing on your arrival. We moved right in and got settled in our cozy cottage, named Rose. We enjoyed the evening sunshine and warm weather on the amazing deck overlooking the water. Using Spindrift as out base we easily explored nearby Ganges and...

Besides the unbelievable beauty of this location, what really stood out for me was how spotless clean the cottage was when we arrived. I travel a lot, so I see a lot of variations on "clean." This was top notch. We were in the Silvia cottage, and we barely saw anyone else on the property even though 3 other cottages...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Spindrift is located on Welbury Point: a secluded six acre peninsula just four miles from the village of Ganges on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada. Our six cottages are situated at sea's edge near the entrance to the Point. The remainder of this scenic peninsula is left in its natural state of arbutus and fir groves with paths winding easily to private, white sand beaches. Small cove beaches, lawns and grassy niches along the Point provide quiet seclusion with broad ocean vistas. ... more   less
