What a beautiful place set on 22 acres which was bursting with spring colour. Various lodging options throughout the grounds but we were in Manor West in the main house. Has two bedrooms so great for friends travelling together. A fire in the room which we eventually go to light on our third night (wood was probably a bit green)....

I just want to say a tidbit of the glorious elegance that was bestowed upon us. Please do experience this property at your leisure. The linens are fresh and lovingly laid out for turn down. My bathroom was sparkling clean. Pillows are fluffy and the fireplace made my little world a bit better. The landscape was my favourite. I also...

It isn't often one finds the perfect holiday destination but we did at Hastings House on Saltspring Island. From the welcome greeting, our dining experiences with wonderful meals and extremely comfortable beds in our cozy West Manor suite overlooking the harbour and the beginning of Spring in the garden, it was a perfect weekend. The staff are outstanding. Friendly, attentive...

My husband surprised me with a romantic night at this beautiful place. We have been coming to Saltspring for over 20 years to stay at our family's cottage. So I thought that was where we were headed. To my surprise and delight we ended up here. Stayed at Post Cottage, very charming, super comfortable bed and lovely view of harbour....

OK, granted, a special occasion, 40th wedding anniversary. We got a room in the Manor house (west), very warm and comfortable, building built in 1930, to resemble the owner's manor house in Kent, UK. Old world charm with modern civilized touches, big screen TV, fridge in the closet, expresso maker and tea in the room as breakfast is served from...

The venue was truly special and the staff very attentive. I have organized corporate retreats for small groups and teams for many years and Hastings House is a perfect venue. From the beginning, Kelly and his team were easy to work with and made sure I got whatever needed to make the meeting a success. From great accommodations with warm...

Thank you very much for your review. You all were a great group to serve, we enjoyed it very much. We really like the opportunity to host corporate retreats as we have the opportunity to provide outstanding service to a group of people all at once and inevitably invite them back again and again. What an incredibly magical place for a romantic weekend getaway! My girlfriend and I visited Hastings House during a rare winter snowfall and seeing the grounds covered in a fresh blanket of snow was a real treat. The staff were incredibly attentive to our needs and we received a tour of the grounds from General Manager Kelly McAree upon checking...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights as part of the Relais & Chafteaux Discover the Faces of Western Canada promotion. We were introduced to the Relais & Chateaux fellowship through the Wickaninnish Inn, and I was expecting my stay at Hastings House to be of a similar calibre given the comparable price and affiliation with R&C. Despite...

Thank you for your comments. We indeed have detailed records of your one night stay with us last year with notes on how we interacted with you, handled your concerns and the compensation we extended. I can email you a receipt if you have lost it. And after every interaction of this nature, an after incident report is made and...

Salt Spring Island is a delight, floating off the east coast of Vancouver Island. The main town, Ganges, is a pretty harbour with quite enough to do to fill in a few days - a great bookshop run by an extraordinarily helpful woman on the occasion that we were there, plenty of little restaurants serving the freshest of food without...

While on a spontaneous trip to Salt Spring Island, we chose this hotel. We ended up extending our stay two nights because we felt so comfortable and cozy here. Perfect place for a romantic getaway. Hastings House was built as a manor home and farm for some British ex-patriots about a century ago. It has been kept beautifully intact throughout...
