We had a very welcoming response from Jeremy to our 'phone enquiry for two rooms that day and a pot of tea ready when we arrived. The '30s look of the Inn remains, with its dining room downstairs, and 7 bedrooms upstairs where we found modern-day fixtures and fittings and really comfortable beds. A gas fire in each room was... I was very pleased with my stay. Spotless and well equipped room, friendly staff, morning coffee available and a great dinner in the dining room. The only choice for me on SSI .... I stayed on a cold and wet November evening and spent a comfortable and warm night.

Room was small with little space to put belongings. This was a delux room with fireplace I was there just before Thanksgiving week-end. Booked a top end room with own bathroom and fireplace. I asked for them to turn on fireplace. It was cold and rainy. Did nor comply. There was only street parking.

Your review is much appreciated and I am glad that we were able to provide one of our larger rooms than the small one that you had reserved. Actually the price point on our most popular small room, attracts many travelers on a budget but its size may not have best suited your needs. My personal apology for the fireplace... More

We happened upon the inn on our way into town before a big storm- what a pleasant surprise! The food was amazing- my husband declared "pizza made the top 5 of his life!" Jeremy, the owner, couldn't be nicer! He obviously cares a lot about his inn and his guests, by the thoughtfulness that he put into the restoration and... More

Thank you for your wonderful review...I really love hearing when we impress our guests and help them to enjoy the destination at hand. Even more important to us is that this was your first visit to this corner of BC and that you were on a mission to discover even more of the beautiful nearby coastal attractions. I hope that... Had a nice, comfortable stay at the inn, which is immaculately clean. The room was small, but had a big window and a sink. The bed was very comfortable. The shared washrooms were spotless and I never once saw anyone in them. No line ups or anything like that. As well, the inn is very centrally located in Ganges. The restaurant... More

I went to Salt Spring Island expecting it to be a bit of a retreat from the madness of the world. Situated in the heart of Ganges, the main town of the island, the Inn is unfortunately smack dab in the middle of the action, which is unfortunately, very loud. I chose a room with a harbour view which meant... More

Thank you for taking time to provide a review of your experience here. Salt Spring Island certainly has become popular and when our island guests are savoring the many daytime activities and vibrant nightlife, our Village can be noisy, particularly in Summer. I do hope that you visit us again and I would suggest a room on the back side,... More

My friend and I visited SaltSpring for a weekend get away and some shopping at their wonderful Saturday market. We were very lucky to have chosen your Inn as our home away from home-- we really enjoyed our stay there. Comfy beds, quaint rooms and a fantastic restaurant right on site, so good and so relaxing! Beautiful, quaint inn with nice rooms and an excellent restaurant. Location can't be beat (right next to Saltspring's Saturday market). Rooms were very clean, staff was professional. Only downside is the rooms are a bit small and it's a little noisy if you keep your windows open. However, I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The Saltspring Inn is probably one of the best places to stay in Saltspring but do not expect a five star hotel. The location can't be beat and the restaurant downstairs is quite good. There is a grocery store and a liquor store right across the street. Rooms are small and basic. There is no air conditioning but they do... More

Thank you for taking time to pass on your review, you describe our heritage property very well! Being more than 75 years old with the major restoration less than 10 years ago, we have retained and receive compliments on much of the past rural character that makes Salt Spring Island and our Inn a "come back to" experience. Unfortunately, the... More
