The Aleeda has been a mainstay in Prince Rupert for many a decade. It witnessed the city grow into a bustling metropolis in the 1970s and early 1980s; it watched as the city fell into an economic spiral following the collapse, first, of the fishing industry in the 1990s, and then the closure of mills. Prince Rupert has yet to... More

Awful place to stay. Right on the main drag, noisy and not good Parking for large vehicles. Air conditioning didn't work and the thermostat in our room was set to high with no way to turn it down. Rooms are VERY dated (70's) and well used, broken lampshades etc. no breakfasts available here. Coffee maker in room but no coffee... More

Aleeda is a very affordable option in Rupert, used to getting cost conscious travellers off the BC Ferries trip through the inside passage or back and forth to Haida Gwaii. Clean, wifi, cable, comfy beds, hot water...nothing fancy but everything you need in a home base for a day or two.

I had a 7 hour wait for the next plane , which meant walking around Prince Rupert on a rainy day, with a heavy pack sack, and luggage.... The Aleeda provides day rooms...a place to rest , kitchen facilities, updated bathroom, WiFi, small flat screen TV, no microwave. Apparently are no other motels/hotels that provide this service. The walls are thin ,... More

We arrived rather late with the Ferry arriving from Port Hardy in Prince Rupert. After 14h on the ship all we wanted was a decent bed to sleep and a working shower. The Motel was already prebooked via booking.com. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly guy at the reception who checked us in immediately without a big... More

Yup, standards for accommodation can be 'different' in small cities. We stayed at the Aleeda for 3 nights. Arriving late in the evening of August 31st; we were there for a fishing trip. A very old building, we were on the second floor, I asked for a room facing the 3rd Ave.; having read the reviews about noise from the... More

As in a lot of northern towns, prices are pretty high for what you get. If you're paying $150, you might be expecting something a little more high-end, but it's a different playing field in these towns where constant demand from work crews (who are being paid a living out allowance) drives up prices. The Aleeda's decor isn't trendy, it's... More

It is obviously an older hotel (you actually get an old fashioned key to your room!), but it is nice and clean. Our room was on the second floor towards the back (i.e. towards 2nd street) but it was not noisy. There was a microwave in the room, but no plates or cups (i.e. you can't make hot water for... More

After being left stranded outside at 2 in the morning by the Totem Lodge Motel (the doors were locked and nobody was answering the phone), we had to phone all the hotels-motels in the Prince Rupert area. All were booked except the Aleeda Motel. Having read the reviews before we left for our trip, I was not too keen on... More

Stayed 2 night but if booking make sure u are not on the back side of the motel as there is a bar attached to another hotel out the back which gets really noisy especially when people go outside to smoke.I found the room clean, was serviced fine, fridge seemed new, free local calls, could do washing at the hotel...
