While visiting Vancouver this summer, we stayed at this inn for one night as a stopover before venturing out to Tofino. We chose to spread out in one of the 2 room suites on the top floor, which was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The view of the lake was unbeatable and it was delightful to enjoy wine in the evening...

Thank you Flowershower for your wonderful review, and for your repeat stay, which says more than anything else how much you enjoyed your first stay. The Executive suite you stayed in is, I think, wonderful after our recently completed renovation. I love the oversized glass shower! We definitely are not a 5 Star resort, but what we are is a...

Booked into the executive suite. Newly refurbished, great comfortable king size bed large bedroom, huge closet, private balcony. Very large sitting room with sofa and love-seat, table and chairs and small lichen bar with sink fridge/freezer, microwave and Keurig. Very large bathroom with kingsized glass enclosed shower. Sauna, hot tub and exercise equipment is in a log building by the lake...

Thank you ralphd857 for your wonderful review. I am so glad that you enjoyed our newly renovated Executive Suite. The oversize glass shower is pretty impressive alright. Cyndi does our baking in-house, and will be thrilled to know you enjoyed her creations. I know the waffle maker gets pretty busy at times, and we may make some changes going forward...

On vacation and booked this hotel for one night. Went out for the evening to tour for awhile. We came back to our room to realize front desk male had rented our room out with no explanation whatsoever. Not willing to refund our money well over $300. No manager on site for three days had to call Police to get...

My deepest apologies. A nightmare scenario indeed, and it was our fault. I am still at a loss trying to understand how this could happen. I can say that , somehow, our front desk agent had understood that you did not find the suite large enough, and had chosen not to stay. How he came to that conclusion I am...

Super clean, spacious, modern, lakefront, pet-friendly rooms with great staff and a generous breakfast. Location is perfect for getting on/off the ferry and for exploring this part of the island. Food and booze close by. Felt like home, only better. Definitely a great start to our Island experience.

NanaimoManager, General Manager at The Inn on Long Lake, responded to this review

Thank you LSinNJ! We did a massive (and sometimes painful) renovation this past winter to deal with the modern factor. The incredible staff at the Front Desk, in our Breakfast Café, in Housekeeping, and in Maintenance do the rest to ensure it is clean and comfortable, and ensure you have a great stay. And that extends to the four legged...

We needed a pet-friendly place to stay relatively near the ferry before heading out to Tofino. This fit the bill exactly. The price was right, the service fine, the rooms clean if completely standard. But don't be fooled by all the pictures of the lake and the boats - while the hotel is on the lake, the other side is...

I appreciate you taking the time to review our property T9-Orca. I do take issue with the suggestion we are trying to mislead anyone. We are indeed in the City, a fact we have never tried to hide. I'm not even sure how we could hide it, given our address, our place on the map, and our "tagline" being "Your...

Our room was excellent; clean, spacious and had an excellent view of the lake from our second floor balcony. The gym and sauna was small but functional. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really good. We will definitely visit again!

Thank you Nathan for the wonderful review. I am so happy that you enjoyed your recent stay with us. Our rooms are looking great after our recent renovation, but really our biggest asset is our great staff. They do a wonderful job taking care of the property, and taking care of our guests. We look forward to seeing you on...

My husband and I discovered The Inn on Long Lake two years ago and wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Nanaimo. The rooms have been renovated and very tastefully decorated since our first stay. We stayed 1 night with a friend and really enjoyed this hotel. It had a motel feel (Outside doors) which was not an issue, in fact I prefer not having to go through the lobby everytime we go out. Thank you DAVE_AND ADRIENNE for taking the time to share your views on our Inn. We do try to use quality products in our guest rooms, rather than just whatever is cheapest or easiest. This is my first stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautifully situated along a large lake that creates a really nice, country feel away from city life. Thank you Cgyguy30! I love your review. We like being different from big downtown hotels. With our renovation just completed, we deliberately tried to keep a bit of the "country" or "lodge" feel to the property. It makes sense to us, as it does seem to be set in the country, with our lakefront locale, even if its only a...

The hotel does have lovely views and great service but we paid $200/ night. It is certainly not worth that. It's a budget hotel and rates should reflect that. Breakfast was included and wasnt bad. But how can a $200/night not even have a restaurant? We had to order food delivery. Disappointing.
