My husband is receiving chemo and radiation therfore, our 10 trip to Tofino needed to involve a layover. I booked this stay morning of visit. Easy to book, VERY clean rooms, comfy bed, great location and pleasant staff. Also, the area was quiet and peaceful. Price appropriate.

The Buccaneer Inn is a quaint traditional motel near the ferry terminal at Nanaimo. Offering views of the water and parking, it's a great choice in the area if you looking for something independent. The team are knowledgeable of the area, especially if looking for dining recommendations. We arrived during a storm, the outside walkways and stairs didn't put us...

This was a great place to stay. I came for a business trip and needed the convenience of having a small apartment. I found this at the Buccaneer Inn plus a very comfortable bed. The owners, Dave and Marlene, are very friendly and welcoming as are the staff.

Dear Michelle56_13, It was lovely to have met you and we are very appreciative of your complimentary words about your suite and stay with us. Thank you for having chosen to stay at The Buccaneer. The suite you stayed in, 102, is particularly well laid out to accommodate a longer stay. Larger kitchen preparation area, full size fridge and a...

This Inn offers a variety of accommodations. We needed a small suite with kitchen for a few day not far from home as we were renovating. PERFECT place. Not too expensive, clean, with great people to help you. Bonus... it's just minutes from Departure Bay, view of marina and New Castle Island. Close to downtown Nanaimo or the boardwalk.

Realizing we weren't going to catch the last ferry back to the mainland, we opted to stay at the very conveniently located Buc Inn. Great bed! Not astonishingly cheap, but the price was right and the hosts are great and very helpful.

Dear Burnabonian57, Thanks for having stayed with us and for noting our comfy beds. We have the same bed in our home and get great sleeps every night as well! Also glad the price was right and that you enjoyed meeting some of our team members. In the unfortunate circumstance that you miss the last ferry again, you'll now know...

We arrived on a dull day and got some rainy weather so our impression may be affected by this. Check in and future contact with lady in reception all good. Room/suite fine. Beds comfortable. We visited the Buccaneer Inn for two nights after completing a six day backpacking trip on the West Coast Trail. The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Great location just a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The super friendly owner greeted us. No AC but with open window and fans we had a great sleep. Bed was really comfy and HD TV and wifi worked great. Walked to the bar on the water near the ferry for dinner.

We stayed in room 201 for 3 nights and were sad to leave. It's a superior room but worth paying the extra for the additional living space and separate kitchen. As readers we were impressed with the interesting books scattered around. There's a nice walk into Nanaimo which starts close by. The property is right on the road but that...

Thanks John for having stayed with us and for your review. Really happy to read that you enjoyed our Fireplace Suite.
