A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I planned a shopping trip to Nanaimo and decided to stay in a B&B instead of our usual hotel. What an eye opener! Being an internet shopper I had my list of what I wanted or thought I wanted :). What was offered by Gordie and Janice's at their immaculately prepared home away...

We stayed in the Madrona Honeymoon suite on our wedding night. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with a large jacuzzi tub. When opted on relaxing in the hot tub under the stars when we returned from our reception. The next morning, we awoke to a spectacular view of Long Lake, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast with our...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Long Lake Waterfront B&B. The room (their best) was immaculate and had everything one could ask for including a gorgeous lake view. The breakfast was much more than the usual muffins and coffee and they cooked for breakfast the fish I caught. Gordie and Janice booked me a fishing guide and...

I stayed at the Long Lake B&B back in March in the Madrona room. The accommodations were well appointed and very comfortable with a view of the lake. This suite was huge, sadly bigger than my condo. The hosts were terrific and the hot breakfast each morning was delicious. There was a shared BBQ, hot tub and non-motorized watersports available...

At the very end of a street in Nanaimo lies this beautiful B&B. Everything you can wish for is there: beautiful rooms, great view over a nice lake, friendly hosts and a lot more that you really have to experience yourself. It was one of the best places we have visited in a long line of B&Bs. Recommended? YES!!

Long Lake Waterfront B&B is a very special place to relax and to enjoy. Waking up in the morning with a beautiful view over the sea. A special breakfast as a perfect start for your daily activities. And then, after breakfast, Gordie will surprise you (perhaps) with a speedboat-trip on the lake. Great ! We will come back soon.

We stayed at this B&B on our honeymoon. We got upgraded to the suit, because the family was in town. The room was huge, but the decoration wasn't exactly our taste. Gordie was a great host and the hot tub was perfect. The only negative was the recommendation to eat at the Dinghy dock pub.
