It is an awesome resort which I recommend to stay. It is located at 80 kms from North Goa amongst wildlife forest.

The whole property will give you the feel of perfect jungle stay.

Valley view rooms are the best. Infinity swimming pool is awesome. Bar is Ok. Activities are really hardy especially the jungle trekking . It is an moderate level trekking guide by there expert staff. water falls spot is mind blowing , you can spend hours there. Be careful about leeches sometimes ( during monsoon ) .

Food is really wonderful and the staff is just superb. You can enjoy Folk dance at night or a short documentary film on wildlife .

If you are interested in pottery classes there is a space for you. Mehendi for ladies is also there. Take my word your boss can't reach you as there is NO internet or wifi. Jio works sometime . You can give more time to your family as it doesn't have TV too.

Stay there for minimum 2 days for the feel or may be more if you love nature. Pick up from Goa they arrange at an extra cost , but I feel that is worth, if you dont want to drive.

Lights at night inside the rooms are not sufficient for book reading so keep them aside.

You may encounter reptiles but they wont harm you . atleast the cobra I encountered didn't harmed me at all.

Infinity swimming pool with a glass of beer can be a awesome relaxation.

One has to be punctual about the time .
.
I recommend the stay , I was in Savari ( 26.09.2020 - 28.09.2020 )

A truly unique experience that certainly has the wow factor. From the moment you arrive and are transported up the valley on the steep funicular, with the most spectacular views of the valley below and surrounding hills, we just knew we had made the right choice in booking.
We had a valley view room and as soon as you enter you see the panoramic view of the valley. Though fairly basic it did have a kettle and tea coffee and water were provided. It would have been nice to have a small fridge to keep drinks cool. The bed was large and comfortable and the ensuite shower room was spacious and well appointed and had a powerful shower.
The staff were all lovely and very polite and helpful. There was an excellent selection on the buffet for all meals with lots of authentic Goan and Indian options. We were there for 3 nights and there was always something different each day. Beware of the cheeky monkeys who sometimes come at meal times and try to pinch food if you sit outside. There is a small reasonably priced bar too, plus they have folk dancing each evening before dinner,
The infinity pool is one of the best we have seen and to wallow with your arms over the ledge enjoying the spectacular view is awesome.
There are sunset and sunrise nature walks, but they are quite steep so not for the feint hearted. We did the sunset one but as we are getting on a bit and not the fittest, we decided to forego the early morning waterfall trek as it is apparently quite steep and you have to climb over boulders! There are a couple of level walks from the resort itself, so we did not feel we had missed out.
The resort itself is quite ‘rustic’ but that adds to the charm of the place.
We highly recommend a stay here as it’s great to escape the hustle and bustle of the beach.

Wildernest a must go for all nature lovers. We got the clue from Vivek Travel Trails YouTube blog which inspired us to visit this boutique hotel in the midst of nature. The experience was what we thrive during our trek in Himalayan ranges - Nature, Peace, Cut off from World (No Network, TV).
This property has 21 rooms which are spread over a big area with the a single restaurant and infinity pool. The resort also has a sister property Swapnagandha little down in the altitude, which has 17 rooms and relatively newly built and has a pool too.
The room charges comes all inclusive of food. We visited in winter and chose valley view room. The view of valley along with the water fall is mesmerising. The pool water is little cold to enjoy except during noon with Sun on top. They provide many activities too - of which we enjoyed the sunset point walk and mehndi. The other activities like trek to water fall, we skipped coz little mishap (small cut due to sharp tree edge on side of pool) and the first aid was not readily available and luckily we had our own.
There is no AC or TV in room (that we shouldn’t expect in middle of nature). Hot water was available and the room size is decent. Food is decent. The Bhaji made in clay pot makes you feel at home. Previous tourists complained of spicy food - but this time they kept a non spicy area (esp for Foreign tourists).

It was our first time in the chorla ghat and wildernest was an amazing place. The property is beautiful and the ghats view from the room is absolutely stunning. Best thing about this was the activities. lots of activities to keep us busy with great sunset treks and waterfall trek. Activities for elder were also fun
Things to improve was just sanitizing the beds as we found bugs in the bed. although its a nature resort and its difficult to get rid of these its important at least beds are clean
Hotel staff was ok but need to make the policies a little customer centric. The policy being too strict will make the stay uncomfortable. One of the families with us was in without a booking (last min entry) and they were asked to leave at 11pm and this is in the middle of nowhere.
overall resort is great

We visited Wildernest in May, 2022 as a family of four. This is not your regular resort, it is a resort that brings to you wilderness blended with tasteful luxury in a manner that attempts to not take away anything from the nature. This can get outright uncomfortable for those scared of insects, ants, snakes and the kind. For the wild at heart, this is just the way it should be.

As soon as we entered the property from the highway, we knew we were in for something special. The parking area laden in evening mist itself was beautiful. The rustic looking lamps along the path guide you to a wooden deck amongst the trees. We had no idea what was in store. We were ushered into a cable trolley. We were still absorbing it all and the trolley started moving up the hill. The magic of the valley that surrounds the property started revealing itself gradually. The sun was setting in the distance, the wooded valley with waterfalls on one side and the clouds embracing the hills here and there, it was all like a movie scene. My daughters had their mouths wide open in awe through out. We were welcomed by the staff at the landing deck on the top of the hill and given introduction of the place and the activities. Our cottage was at one end of the property, so we had to walk a bit through tastefully created path through dense greenery. The rooms were neatly done in wood and the bed linen was good quality. The sit-out overlooked the woods and the valley with butterflies finding their resting pace for the night.

The whole stay was full of activities like nature walks, hikes including one to a beautiful waterfall (with a little but beautiful surprise at the end). There are naturalists that share wonderful info about the local flora and fauna. The food served is almost entirely very local, simple and soulful. There were evening cultural performances by the locals that were mesmerizing. All of it is in a wild setting. The infinity pool is a unique experience given the view as well as the fact that you can actually spot rare frog specie nesting or a snake resting somewhere close. Shekrus also pay a visit and so do monekeys. Must visit for anyone who wants to experience nature closely.

Note: Be careful to not have any food items with you in the room. We were instructed not to but we thought we had it packed and concealed well. To our surprise a rat chewed into one of our bags that had some eatable inside it. So just ensure you have no eatables in any of your bags inside the room.

We spent couple of nights at Wildernest. The resort is on the tristate border of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra - nature all around with waterfalls and western ghats. Fantastic location in the midst of forest. Parking to resort elevator ride was a pleasant surprise and shows the remoteness of the location. The cottages are nice (we had taken 2 valley view), good size and natural light. Good local food, slightly spicy for our taste. Sunset trek is short and views are amazing. Waterfall trek was good fall, though it will be better if they allow to swim. Birds are there, but hard to spot in the thick jungle. One of the staff did help me find 2 species I had not seen before... Jungle is so dense that birds are harder to spot and photograph. There are lot of langurs and macaques which may also drive away the birds. Jan-Feb may have much better bird sightings. Pool is nice with clean fresh water. Service is ok, nothing exceptional, but no issues as well.

Few items that can be improved:
1. The path from cottage to dining area needs to be improved. We have to watch our feet than enjoying the nature.
2. Lighting in the room post sunset is extremely low. One decent light will be helpful.
3. Mosquito net will be a good addition

If you want an experience that is different from routine, this is the place. The resort is a good two hour drive from Dambolim Airport, Goa. ( Tip: It is better to book your transport while booking the resort ) Your adventutre begins the moment you get off the Taxi. An open Trolly on rails transports you and your luggage up the steep mountain. You enjoy the view of the verdant valley and twin waterfalls as you go up the mountain. Check in is a breeze and you are escorted to your room. The room is utilaritaian, don't expect too much but it is adequate. ( Tip:Book a Valley view cottage instead of a Forest view cottage}
The charm of the resort lies outdoors, in the paths cobbled with laterite stones, in the bird calls, the butterflies, snails, and sundry wildlife. I was taken on a nightwalk by Vitthal, one of the resident naturalists, and encountered the elusive Malabar gliding frog, salamanders, bio-luminiscaent fungi and three different kinds of snakes. The trek to waterfall through thick forest is a huge plus and lot of fun. There is another trek to the mountain top ( called Sunset point )
We were also taken on a courtsey visit to Swapnagandha, the twin resort of wildernest, situated a little distance away.
The resturant, the outdoor bar, infinity swimming pool all add to the charm of this resort.
The staff is polite, the food reasonably good. Another plus is absence of TV and Internet. Even the mobile connectivity is intermittent.( Jio fares better than other networks) Yes, there is Wifi in reception area which enables you to do your web check in for return trip.
We were there for three days at the peak of the monsoons and loved every minute of our stay.
Caution: This is no place for old and the infirm.

We spent 2 nights here, the accommodation is comfortable, a choice of valley views or forest, amazingly whichever is chosen you cannot see another cottage.
An infinity swimming pool for relaxation.
All the activities could be achieved in a one night stay.
There is an itinerary beginning with bird watching at 0700, a walk to a waterfall the guide points out interesting facts along the way. Decent footwear is a must. No good if you have mobility problems. Lots of rocks to clamber over especially near the waterfall. The views are fantastic, a corical upto the waterfall and if you feel up to it a swim. Very cold but refreshing.
Activities include making a piece of pottery, having a henna.
A walk early evening up the mountain to see the sunset.
In the evening a local dance and live music.
The staff are all attentive, knowledgeable and efficient.
The food was local, buffet style. Spicey, non spicey veg and non veg. A good variety at each meal. Well labelled. Plenty of juice water tea and coffee available throughout the day.
Water is provided in the room. No tea or coffee facility my only negative.
Throughly enjoyable.

It is little difficult to get the booking on weekend as it highest operational Nature Resort. If you want to be away from busy life. Wish to spend the good time with nature then visit this place. One attraction of this place is the CRANE that takes you from car parking to the resort reception. Amidst the nature you are travelling in crane. That feeling is amazing. We visited this place on 22nd July. It was raining heavily. Due to which could not do many outdoor activities. Even the folk dance was not arranged. It has amazing cottages made of wood in between the forest. Food is superb but options can be increased for the money they are charging. 24 hours hot water facility. One more attraction is infinity swimming pool. Don't miss the trekking. Feedback to the management is cottages are not fully covered. There will be cold air rush in the cottages. Small insects, snails were also seen in the rooms. Extra beds provided were drenched in water. This place little high on pockets. Cost per person is 3000 rs/day.

At first we were all excited seeing the pictures put up of their websites & facebook account. We had alot of expectations. As soon as we reached and checked our rooms it was a mess.We had booked 4 rooms. In my room the bed was filled with red ants.We called Room service when they came we seen the pillows were full of black fungus.Luckily they removed the pillow covers for ants so we seen the fungus. There is no security for kids. Our balcony facing the waterfall had only a stick as barracade.Anyone can easily fall.My husband slipped because of the moss outside.
When we called we asked if it was ok for elderly to stay. They said it was perfect. My parents had to climb up to their rooms. The steps were not proper as it was raining it was slippery. All rooms had pillows with black fungus. There were insects in all rooms.I have written this only for people to beaware.Their charges are so much and not worth it.I would rather stay in a 5* hotel. Please be aware.
