Our room was on the end of the building with fantastic views of the Glacier. The room was clean and tidy as you would expect. As this was part of a package I am not sure of the price but I suspect it was expensive but to be expected given the unique location. Car parking is away from the hotel... More

Convenient stay after taking the Ice Explorer and City walk tour at Columbia Icefield. Quite expensive. Watching the Glacier so close is wonderful. Parking lot for tenants is far away from hotel rooms.

Our room was not ready when we arrived at about 3:30 pm, so we were asked to come back in an hour. We came back and check into our room, went upstairs to find that our room had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Now it was 5 pm and all but one housekeeper was gone. The gal at... More

Substandard hotel in amazing location. Facilities are dated, staff is undertrained. Parking is 200 meters away. You have to fight your way through thousands of bus tourists just to find the lobby, there should be a separate entrance. Food is over priced and substandard.

Wonderful experience! Decided to stay here to avoid the crowds. We stayed the night before our 9AM excursion on the glacier. We hiked up to the toe of the glacier that night. We took beautiful pictures that night from our room window. We are glad we did because the next morning the glaciers and mountains were hidden by clouds.

The hotel is really nice food is over priced but was delicious. The staff were always friendly and willing to help. The tours are great we had a vip pass with our reservation so we never waited in line. The building is very congested and the hotel should use a separate entrance for their guests.

Loved being able to lie in bed and admire the glacier view. The proximity allowed us to do the hike to the toe in the evening. Slept very well and were able to roll right out of bed and onto the tour bus the next morning.

All the staff were very friendly, and they have wifi all over the inn (this is important since you won't get any reception here). They don't have ATM, so make sure you bring enough cash if you need too. There is no local grocery store close by, so be prepared. Food in the cafe is a bit pricey but it... More

Does not approach ammenities expected when paying close to $350/night for a hotel. No bellhop - Hotel parking was 200 yards away from door - only tourist buses were permitted to drive to pickup/drop off luggage except for after 8PM and before 7AM. No cooling temperature control - room overly hot single 2-foot square window that was open upon arrival... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Glacier View Inn. The hotel is settled at a toerist hotspot. The rooms have a spectaculair view on the glacier, which you probalby already expected by the name of the hotel. The staff is very friendly. Because it is one of the view accommodation in the area the prices are quite high.
