We booked a room and were pleasantly surprised to hear they offered swimming times. unfortunately, new restrictions came into play which technically impacted our swim booking for the morning of our departure. When we checked in, the GM let us know they would honour our swim bookings. I had already prepared my children for the disappointment, so we were all elated when he told us the great news!! Thank you again for making us smile during such stressful times!!
excellent service, central to my needs, breakfast was varied, staff courteous and efficient and quick, rooms spacious and clean and quiet, restaurant beside building had excellent service and food, parking was close to door.
We all have to adapt to Covid times. Most hotels have sanitizers in the rooms and no housekeeping is offered unless you need something. Perfect. Not here. No hand sanitizers. And housekeeping comes knocking at our door. Not a huge deal but definitely odd. Then there’s the fact I called twice on check in day for a couple questions/requests. Not once did they advise me to book pool times. In fact, when we initially booked, we were told we could book pool times when we check in. Fine. We get here Friday about 6pm....absolutely nothing available for pool times until Sunday for a piddling 30 mins! Apparently the hotel is booked solid for some strange reason. Oh wait. Yes. We observed many Indigenous families gathering in rooms, we can hear their drumming and singing. As beautiful as that was......no swimming for my family which why we wanted a staycation. What a waste of money to be here!!!!! So useless! We will never stay here again. Yes. Covid times are difficult to navigate and everyone is done with it. I don’t even care people gathered. Not my business and we need each other. We need our people more than we need malls. …
The wife and I always stay at this hotel. The staff are always friendly and accomodating. The hotel is well kept and I noted they take great care with the new COVID restrictions, which gives us a sense of comfort while in Edmonton. The amenities are great and require you to book ahead of time due to COVID restrictions, this of course gives us a peace of mind knowing our safety comes first. As well, on the same lot there is an excellent restaurant called Homefire Grill, the ambiance is excellent and the food exquisite that makes any date night special. When not with the wife, I stay at this hotel on business as well, as this hotel is perfect for business purposes as well.
DO NOT STAY. The front desk staff Sara, had her children there and she was not helping me at all. trying to check out, and Her children were screaming and throwing things. very unprofessional. she was not apologetic and was very rude to me and my husband. I asked for the manager, She stated she was the manager. She should not work there with her ugly attitude and having her children there was unacceptable. Such a disgrace as a so called manager.
