After reading so many scathing reviews about the Sandman, I was worried what I was letting myself in for, but I turned out to be pleasantly surprised. We found it easy to navigate our way into the city and we parked on the underground car park without any problems (charge was $34 for 3 nights, which I thought was reasonably...

Happy to recommend this fine hotel. All expected amenities are here? Clean rooms, comfy beds. Maybe a bit dated. The toilet suite was unstable. Restaurant very good value. Location is great with free trams outside. Stay a while as Calgary has lots to see and do.

It is sincerely disheartening to the Sandman Calgary City Centre that you are unsatisfied despite the due processes that were practiced on your behalf. We as hoteliers, who are in the industry of building and maintaining relationships, empathize with your frustration and undoubtedly cooperated with the authoritative parties upon your request. It is unfortunate that the outcome established by the...

I stayed here for one night and I am a non smoker. A coupls weeks later I checked my credit card statement to find out they charged an extra $250 on my card. When I called to see that there must have some sort of mix up I was told the charge will not be changed and that I cant...

We can fully understand your frustration regarding your having to absorb the smoking violation fee that was recognized by your acknowledgment during your arrival process, however to avoid these types of penalties, refraining from from smoking in our non-smoking property, would have avoided the disappointment that you have experienced. Our non-smoking policy is enforced ultimately to allow for all our...

Stayed here for one night. Not originally planning to stay here however the recent flood had closed our hotel. Very central location, close to transport, shops, Calgary Tower. Would not wander around at night alone. Staff seemed friendly enough. Room was basic and served the purpose. Spacious enough for a family of four and beds quite comfortable. Food in the...

This hotel might have been a reasonable deal when it was built 40 or so years ago, but it falls far short of today's standards for a hotel in the downtown area of a small city. The walls are paper-thin, the bathroom in my room was minute with a washbasin more suited to an airliner, the decor is tired and...

Very friendly & helpful staff. Comfortable beds, & very clean although the bathroom was a bit tired & in need of a refurbmishment, although everything worked. No fridge in our room, so need to check if you are diabetic etc. Had a meal in Moxie's bar that was very mediocre, but again the waiting staff were friendly. Central hotel, good...

Stayed here for one night at the end of a tour of the Canadian Rockies. The reception staff were very helpful in doing an online flight check-inn and arranging an airport transfer, and my room was large and comfortable.. There is a Moxie's diner on the ground floor, with fairly standard evening and breakfast menus. Just opposite are McDonalds, Tim...

This hotel is quite possibly one of the cheapest hotels in downtown, and with the C-Train Station right at it's door-step and taxi-cabs lined up outside, it is well connected and very accessible. That said, it isn't rundown or cheap on facilities and service. The hotel is also well connected with the +15 walkways, making a trip through downtown in...
