Myself and four others visited Skoki for 2 nights. It was absolutely magical. The staff, location, food were all exceptional. The ski in took our group 4.5 hrs, decent cardio fitness is required. The ski out took 3.5 hrs and had white out conditions through Deception Pass. They accommodated my vegan diet wonderfully, the staff were happy to chat and...

My family went to Skokie in early March and stayed 3 nights. What stood out was how easy they made everything for us, check-in, parking, lift tickets etc. The ski out took us 4 hours and does require a good level of fitness. The Lodge itself is magical, candle and lamp lit, great food, incredible really for the backcountry, and...

The magic of Skoki is hard to describe. After slogging over the Deception Pass in a whiteout blizzard, it appeared like a dream of hot soup, delicious cakes, and cozy window-seat daybeds with wool blankets. The staff is friendly and frighteningly hard-working. The food is amazing. It may well be the coziest place on Earth. Just a couple of things...

We visited Skoki 15 years ago. We returned with our teenage children and once again were delighted by the magic of Skoki. The food was just as memorable wholesome and delicious and the staff just as welcoming. We did some great ski Turing trips from the lodge and then enjoyed the relaxing ambience of the lodge. Hopefully we will return...

Our group of 4 headed out to Skoki Lodge at the beginning of January. It was extremely cold the day that we headed out (around -37C with the wind), and initially, they were reluctant to let us go when we checked in at Lake Louise. After waiting for a while, they let us head out. The trail is stunning, with...

From the moment you arrive to the hot soup and the wood stove to warm your back this is a very special place. The hosts are welcoming and helpful, and Katie is one of my favourite cooks - you have to get the cookbook! If you enjoy experiencing spectacular scenery in one of Canada most majestic and historic areas, this...

An incredible experience from start to finish. The check-in at Lake Louise is professional. The 12km walk-in is staggeringly beautiful and not too difficult. The two steep sections (Boulder Pass and Deception Pass) are relatively short, with the rest of the trail mostly following contour lines. Ptarmigan Lake is a stunner and the woods are really lovely. The vistas just...

We recently attended a week-long indoor event in Banff so thought a 4 night visit to Skoki would provide a good opportunity to enjoy the mountains and backcountry, I found the 11km hike in to be a bit difficult so was thrilled to arrive for tea time at Skoki. Our accommodations were comfortable, the food super delicious and plentiful, the...

We stayed at Skoki for 2 nights in July with a group of friends from our hiking club. The hike in (bypassing a few km of boring road at the start thanks to the Skoki Lodge shuttle) was gorgeous and just strenuous enough to make us feel like we had earned our sumptuous afternoon tea. The most delicious carrot cake...
