We had the most spectacular experience at the Moraine Lake Lodge. The view was awesome, room extra clean and the food...to die for! Overall the best accommodation in Lake Louise! We stayed also at the larger hotel in Lake Louise and found the Moraine Lake...More
Our travel company recommended this place as they felt it was even prettier than Lake Louise. We were not disappointed - the rooms are small but beautifully appointed with comfortable beds & luxurious linen. The bathroom facilities were equally well stocked. The staff here were...More
I can't say enough good things about this lodge. Our cabin was cozy with fireplace and wonderful ambience. Dinner was fabulous and the staff superb. I can highly recommend to all! And of course the lake, it puts Lake Louise to shame. Breakfast was good...More
The lodge is located in front of the best lake in Alberta, Canada. Not surprised that this lake was once in the $20 Canadian bill. It's just stunning with the mountains surrounding it. As guest, you can use the canoe free of charge (usually $55...More

The day we arrived, the access road was closed to all except guests at the hotel because it was all parked up so, yes, unless you want to get there very early, this is a good way to be assured of parking. The hotel car park is a little small and the spaces tight but you are right on the lake.

We brought our 9-year-old son last summer and it was fine, but they don't cater to children. They say on the website they cannot accommodate children under the age of 8. With all the noise from the tourists in the lake all day though, I'm not sure why they don't allow young kids to stay there. It is a beautiful place and we plan to return, but we've learned this isn't a place for peace and quiet!!
