Lovely pub....excellent food and dog friendly. We called boxing day lunch pub was quite buzy but we didn't have to wait long for our food. Nice real fires so it was warm, cozy and inviting. Would definitely recommend ☺

I visited on the 28th December with my Dad, my dad speaks very highly of this pub but my first impression wasn't great. I forgive the service time as it was extremely busy. Allowing dogs in the pub is fine but i don't agree with them being near your food. After waiting 30 mins for our fish and chips to...

Lunch with 5 friends, in a friendly, warm & cosy pub. Good choice of pub grub and interesting sandwiches. Great beer from the pub's own micro brewery. Top that with a lovely warm fire burning in the grate. Lovely!

The room felt a little cramped but fine for a night. Enjoyed a good night sleep, no noise from the pub below and very quiet outside as well. A comfortable bed and a few pints of the excellent beer from the pub brewery helped too! Excellent full English breakfast and very friendly and helpful host(ess).

The Inn is in a nice village but the rooms are very small and definitely need a re- furb. The bathroom was exceedingl small with no heating or radiator and the towels were a disgrace. There are very nice new owners there, so things might get better!

After a good walk in the Amber Valley a mild October enabled us to sit outside at the back which has a pleasant aspect. Micro brewery on site which the Ashover pale is excellent. Fish & chips very large (they do a smaller portion which would probably been enough). All food sampled got appreciative noises & friendly staff.
