The room felt a little cramped but fine for a night. Enjoyed a good night sleep, no noise from the pub below and very quiet outside as well. A comfortable bed and a few pints of the excellent beer from the pub brewery helped too! Excellent full English breakfast and very friendly and helpful host(ess).

Booked for a night away for my Husband, the dog and I. Lovely food & great ale. Great for nearby walks through the countryside. The room was nice and clean and the hosts very friendly. Would recommend

Been here a few times such a lovely country pub who makes their own ales on the premises so many to choose from and strong .... Food is great and varied all home cooked staff are friendly and helpful. Definetly visiting again very soon.

The Inn is in a nice village but the rooms are very small and definitely need a re- furb. The bathroom was exceedingl small with no heating or radiator and the towels were a disgrace. There are very nice new owners there, so things might get better!

After a good walk in the Amber Valley a mild October enabled us to sit outside at the back which has a pleasant aspect. Micro brewery on site which the Ashover pale is excellent. Fish & chips very large (they do a smaller portion which would probably been enough). All food sampled got appreciative noises & friendly staff.

A very nice pub with good practical food and drink, just what you want from a night out; especially when you're hungry. The pub is little off the main road. Coming from Derby it took me just under an hour to get there but once there I was not disappointed.

This is an excellent rural pub. Let me count the ways: - huge range of real ales - brew their own excellent beers - large range of ciders - warm welcome - roaring fires - folk music nights - hearty food - great accommodation - fabulous location Convinced? What more do you want?

From J Boy of Derby My first ever visit to Ashover, fantastic old public house, very good selection of beers at a very reasonable price. Very friendly and helpful lady behind the bar. Must come back for a meal as the food looked delicious. Great view overlooking beautiful countryside from the beer garden
