Having followed a recommendation I visited the Pub and booked a 2:30 pm sitting at the carvery with other family members. The staff were friendly and professional. The taste of the food was good but the meal was let down by not being hot enough. Having spoken to the person serving the food, we were advised to book earlier. Good...

Nice staff, lovely service and fresh vegetables that made the Sunday Carvery really yummy. We had 2 meats, and they were generous with the portion sizes. Good price point too, only downside is having to walk into the back room to get it!

My wife and I went for the Valentines meal and wow, what a great meal it was, the calamari was to die for and all the service was on point. I noticed there was a couple of bad reviews but this was while Chef Simon was away, but now he's back, and this place is well worth a try, also...

What can I say that would do it justice!! We had the set menu and it was nothing short of amazing I had the carpaccio for starter then beef stroganoff main and oh my lord it was the best I've had no exceptions, We're certainly going back. They even had a blues/jazz singer (Ruth Roubelle) who set the mood perfectly.

Since changing hands the new occupiers have been trying to get things together from the disastrous previous occupier and have sought to run the place properly. Whilst there are teething problems they are really trying to get the pub back on the map. I have had a few meals and can honestly say the food is very good and not...

Going under new management after cocos was a disappointment. Arriving for a birthday meal, to leaving was very disheartening and unfortunately will not be returning! Staff was unprofessional having a fag out front when guests are arriving... not a great start. Arrival drinks... no cloudy apple cider... no cointreau... no rose wine... no prosecco... had 1 martini & lemonade but...

We stopped to have lunch, I had read some reviews that were not very complimentary, however I can say that it was the best lunch I have had in a long time. The chef came out to talk to us, I asked for some items that were not on the menu, the chef could not do enough for us and...
