Nice atmosphere, good beer, limited and rigid menu, ordered some lunch, we asked for chips as a side and were told they didn't do chips as a side as they "clog up the kitchen"!! That's what we got told from a member of staff.

I like visiting this pub and have been here many times. Not so impressed today though. The landlord (who slammed the back door shut as I was just about to walk through it) was very grumpy and I cannot believe that they stop serving food...More
So, beer as excellent as ever. Superb pork pie and extra pickled onions. It's a one off and a splendid oasis. If you want anodyne corporate service, don't come to the Pots. It's idiosyncratic, individual and uncompromising and in my view unbeatable.
