Affordable, which is really hard to find with a family in summer by the seaside! Lovely, friendly atmosphere, with breakfast being a highlight we really enjoyed. My daughters and i only stayed one night, but hope to revisit soon.
Had a lovely nights stay in the beautiful B and B. Jake tended to my every need and even made the most amazing dinner at short notice, he really made my stay thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended 😁
Had a one night stay here prior to catching an early morning ferry to Santander. It was a perfect location and easy to get to the harbour. Jackie made us very welcome. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with plenty of parking and great wifi. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Jackie for your hospitality.
We stayed here when visiting a sick relative in QA hospital. Friendly staff, great room with own entrance at rear. Great value for money, lovely breakfast... We will be booking here next time we visit.
If you have need to travel to Portsmouth or surrounds, you can't fail to be happy to be staying at the Corner House, Jackie and her staff team are the friendliest most helpful people, the accommodation is clean, comfortable and set at an excellent affordable price point for the standards set. You MUST give this B&B a look, it's a home away from home, we've never felt so well looked after in ANY accommodation, anywhere in the UK. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome and very much at home. David Finnigan & Janet Craig ☺
Me and my work colleague stayed here for 4 nights, room was clean and tidy, shared bathroom was not an issue. The owners were great and very friendly and Mo your breakfasts are a great way to start the day, cant fault the corner house at all.
ideally situated this was our 3rd visit staff very friendly rooms comfortable breakfast great staff cant do enough to make your stay a pleasant one keep up the good work Jackie and team look forward to staying here again soon
A friendly welcome and great location at this B&B. My room is basic, clean and all I need is provided. The TV in my single room could do with repositioning, from on top of the wardrobe onto the desk. I've not tried to use the WiFi. Breakfast menu was flexible (I didn't want baked beans and was provided with tomatoes) and good quality food.
Ideally situated on the A3, with plenty of parking and on the main bus route. Easy access to Portsmouth and its satellites. Owners and staff very helpful. Breakfast outstanding value and a very comfortable bed. I would just note that the downstairs loo needs some attention to the flushing mechanism.
We needed to find a cheap place to stay near paultons park & was pleased to find this place. We had a very warm welcoming but was very surprised to find there was no on suite so was a shared bathroom/ toilet but as we were there & u get what you pay for we thought oh well just get on with it. We stayed for four nights with no problem with sharing the bathroom at all as u just do what you need to do & come out but unfortunately on our last night we encountered a male bathroom hogger, (the bathroom smelt of a man!) who spent a hour doing what he was doing & decided to leave the bathroom in such a state & with no loo roll, dirty towels all over the floor. I had to make do just so I could use it & my other family members ( a four year old & my mum) gave up on waiting to have a shower & just went to bed. Further more members of my family had to use the bathroom during the night & three times the toilet hadn't been flushed leaving number one or two's for them to find very disgusted in deed so a very disappointing end to a lovely holiday through no fought of Jackie the owner at all I want to add its a shame inconsiderate people like are letting down her business!!! …
