A surprised my partner with only a postcode to where we was going for an overnight stay for his birthday. The team managed to fit us in at last minute due to a cancellation else where. And what a gem it turned out to be. We stayed in the Shepards hut for the night and it was fab. The perfect...

I stayed in the Shepherds hut with my partner for his birthday. His friends also came along with their tents and pitched up just down the steps the other side of the trees. The Hut itself was charming. A clean and comfortable bed, little homely touches, a washing up sink as well as gas hobs. There was also a stove...

We had a fantastic weekend at Hale Farm. The Shepherds hut has an amazing amount of amenities considering it's size and all you could want to keep warm and snug at night. It has a fully functioning hob, sink, oven and fire inside and is ridiculously cosy and comforting. The bed is lovely and soft and you'll get a great...

Spent 1 night on the site. Very nice. Clean toilets (environmentally friendly compost) and shower rooms. We was lucky to have good weather so stayed outside by fire till late. Farm was nice and the people who run/worked on site was very friendly. Will defiantly be going back again next year.

Hale Farm offers 'back to basics' camping, with fire pits, compostable toilets and no wifi!! You can choose to pitch your tent anywhere in the large meadow. The facilities consist of 3 toilets, 2 showers, outdoor hand wash basins and one washing up sink. The showers and toilets were clean (we saw them being cleaned at least twice a day)...

Hale Farm is a beautiful relaxed campsite twenty minutes drive from Eastbourne. Despite being sold out over the bank holiday weekend it was spacious and you were able to set up anywhere within two very large fields. you could arrive anytime after 3pm and needed to leave the site on the day of departure by 12 noon. you could have...

This is a fantastic rural countryside retreat for camping. You can pitch anywhere in the large field and each plot has a fire pit (they come round about 5pm to sell firewood, kindling and lighters). It's a beautiful area and we had some stunning sunsets and full moons while we were there, a fantastic spot to star gaze in the...

While my experience was marred slightly by my tent failing miserably, the site itself - the facilities, the people, the campfires, the animals, the loos, the proximity to the pub (15 minute walk) were all brilliant. When I have better gear I'll be back!

I have just spent 2 fabulous nights at Hale farm with my 2 boys. It really is no frills camping at the highest class, what is what we look for. The Eco compost toilets & Gas showers, both which are clean & functional (and a bit fascinating to my young boys) The firewood delivery in the evening a great help,...

Stayed for 2 nights. Area is quite and traditionally English, lovely countryside. Arrived and asked if we could pitch in a specific area which didn't have a fire pit and the owner kindly agreed to dig a fresh pit ... top man! Enjoyed a full days walking around the local area ending up in The Six Bells for live music...
