With the precision of Swiss execution, the warmth and sincerity of Mexican hospitality, trememdous food, and a spectacular view Bahai de la Luna is a gem. Secluded with just the right amout of easy-to-get-to-know guests Bahai de la Luna is a keeper. A small note - all beaches in Mexico are public. It's wonderfully fair that this is the case...

Need a beach, a hammock, some water and not a bunch of tourists? This is the place! Just returned last night. I can still hear the ocean! The beach is beautiful, the water is delightful and teeming with abundant sea life! At night - the stars are magnificent because it is so dark!! The accomodations: We (family of 7 -...

A wonderful place to get away from it all. Stripped of all social pressures. The environment is enchanting, beautiful, and primitive. Excellent management that knows how to pamper you with good food. GREAT VACATION. We will return...

After visiting cities in Mexico it was wonderful to end the trip on the beach. The water was not tea water warm, just a little fresh, to revive you after being in the sun. The rooms are simply furnished in a very nice way. Be warned no tv, phone, a/c, or hot water. I didn't miss the hot water. The...

In the interest of full disclosure I will say that my wife and I know two of the partners in the Bahia De La Luna operation. That being said we just returned from our first but far from our last trip there. We have done a fair amount of traveling and I have to say we both enjoyed the stay...

I was looking for a place where I could relax in a sunny, secluded place with a beautiful beach. Normally, a challenge or almost impossible nowadays to find a spot like this. In Bahia de la Luna I found exactly what I was looking for! I've never seen a place like that before and never had a better time in...

We just spent 5 days at Bahia and loved it. It was like we had the bay almost to ourselves!! Just a few couples there and the occasional family - mostly European or Canadian. Sometimes a handful of locals would wander in from the jungle behind us or on a small boat to snorkel or enjoy the beach for the...

Bahia de la Luna, without a doubt, has the most perfect beach I've ever seen...and I've seen my fair share. It's set in a beautiful protected cove so the water is calm and safe to swim in. And it was very private. I was there for 4 days and never saw more than 20 people a day on the beach....

Bahia de la Luna caters to those that savor peace and relaxation over luxurious amenities. It is set in a picture perfect cove that is far enough off the beaten path to ensure an intimate experience, and most visitors spend their time simply basking in the sun and taking leisurely swims in the clear, calm water. There are no TV's,...

I travel about 85% of the year for business. All my trips are typically to luxury resorts, hotels and villas. This place is rustic. Be sure that you know that and understand that. If you’re used to Four Seasons and that’s it, then forget it. You won’t be able to handle it, so stop reading right here. I had my...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled among the rugged cliffs and dense tropical vegetation of Oaxaca’s Pacific coast is La Boquilla, a protected cove of white sand and still turquoise water. Virtually untouched by development, this pristine and secluded location – where osprey circle lazily over a silent beach – is the perfect setting for vacationers seeking a truly unique retreat experience.Protected by small islets and tall headlands the crescent beach provides a perfect setting for those vacationers seeking a truly unique retreat, for those who would rather hear the whisper of a gentle fan than the whirr of the air conditioner; for those who prefer snorkel and a sea kayak to the roar of a jet ski; for those who wish to practise yoga and sunrise meditation in an eco-sensitive environment and yet appreciate the best of fresh, natural, local foods & international wines in an exquisite water side setting, this may be the place you have always sought... ... more   less
