My husband and I stayed here for 2 night s through a groupon deal and we wernt disappointed. Nothing was a problem and staff very friendly. The rooms and general decor was slightly dated but the pool area was up to date and very clean. Food was delicious and the bar reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Four of us, two couples, stayed for two nights recently. Staff were excellent. Food very good. Nice leisure facilities. That said, we would not stay there again for two reasons. The bedroom we stayed in, needed more than a lick of paint. Also the hotel is to far out of Bowness (£13 in a taxi) for our liking. We paid...

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you found us to be good value for money and appreciate your constructive comments. We are still working the kinks out of our new WiFi system, so thanks for flagging up the issue with in in your room. Thanks again.

Stayed for 2 nights after bought a deal on Living Social. Hotel is not in the state of art but was ok for a short stay as the room was tidy and clean. Food was nice and the quality is good. I quite like there isn't a different menu for people who are on a deal. Most staff members are...

Thank you for staying and for posting your review on here. Thanks also for the 4 bubble rating. I am a bit surprised about the comments on a few members of staff, but we will ensure everyone is reminded of the importance of guest service. Thanks again.

It's a little more difficult to review having been given a groupon voucher as a gift but here goes. We found the hotel located greatly just a few minutes from bowness, (we actually started down at fell foot and ended up in Ambleside). The pool is adequate and the lounge (with a nice open fire) was lovely. The staff where...

Stopped for two nights on a grouon deal. First impressions old , dark and outdated. Food ok but nothing special. In General the attention to detail within the hotel was poor. The bath room mirror light didn't work and bathroonm was dirty. No shower just a shower head from a mixer tap. During the day the room and hotel in...

Thank you for your review. I sincerely apologise for the issues during your stay. The heating is on a timer, but as you turned the heat off during the night in the room, when the central heating kicked back on in the early morning, it would not have overridden the controls in the room. There was a burst pipe somewhere...

Came here on a groupon deal which was good value for money, upon arrival stood at the desk around 5 minutes without being acknowledged by the 2 staff members there (yes they were dealing with another customer off to one side, but they could have acknowledged we were stood there), when given room key lugged our stuff through to our...

Hi and thank you for your review and for your lovely photo of the fire in the lounge. We appreciate your 4-star rating despite the issues you faced with your room. Room 26 is one of our larger double rooms, but we also have even larger 4-poster upgraded rooms with Jacuzzis. They are quite popular. We completely understand that you...

Stayed for two nights on a groupon deal. On the outskirts of the Lake District, about 10 minutes from Windermere. Hotel was a little tired in places but perfectly clean. Room was basic, little decoration but sheets and towels were clean and soft. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. We weren't aware of the hotel's appearance on a...

Thank you for your lovely review, in particular the bits about our food and staff. The TV programme was filmed quite awhile ago now, but many of the staff are still here, which is nice! Thanks again and we hope you'll visit us again.

We booked our 'two night bed and breakfast with dinner on the first night free' through groupon and I'm so glad we didn't pay full price for our stay as it wouldn't have been worth the money.
