Superb service from Colin, excellent breakfast, fantastic location. Warm comfortable room. Colin went out of his way to make us feel welcome, he even provided wheat/gluten free bread for me. Could not fault our stay there had a lovely weekend.

What a lovely place. Colin is a superb host with attention to detail to ensure your stay is a happy one. The king room was warm at night but not overly warm, in fact most welcome on a cold night in October. Ample parking is provided off road. This was our first visit and definitely won't be our last. Very...

This was our 4th stay at Landing Cottage. We always stay for about a week but this time, treated ourselves to a lovely, relaxing 9 nights. The fact that we return here does, I think, speak for itself as a recommendation. Landing Cottage has everything me and my husband require, great location, comfortable surroundings and, importantly for us non-car drivers,...

We stayed at Landing Cottage for two nights and nothing was to much trouble for the very friendly host Colin. We had room two, very comfortable and clean and a great quiet nights sleep,it's so peacful around here. The breakfasts are very good and plentiful. It's minutes from the lake, and Lakeside Hotel, aquirium and lake trips. The Swan Hotel does nice...

The host, Colin is a lovely man warm, welcoming and unfailingly attentive. Our breakfasts great. Our bed had a tempura mattress and we slept very well, The house itself however, gave the appearance of a lack of care, and needs basic decorative refurbishment both inside and out. The location (virtually adjacent South lake Windermere) however, is perfect, and I doubt...

Me and my partner stayed here for a business trip and we were really pleased our choice. The manager welcomed us and was so friendly and helpful! There are a variety of board games in the front room which we had lots of fun playing, then a great nights rest after a long working day. The surrounding area is so...

A colleague and I stayed at the Landing cottage had a fantastic couple of full English breakfasts. Colin the owner was very friendly and helpful. Was a bit taken aback by one of the other comments on trip advisor about not allowing children as after speaking to the owner it had been adults only since the beginning of the year....

Just tried to book a family room and was told that they don't take children, yet it does mention family rooms on their website and even asks how many children in the drop down menu! Even reviews mention young children, so has this guest house changed its policy recently but neglected to update their website??
